Cheek fillers or Botox first?

Your doctor may have advised getting a dermal filler in your cheeks first because it will lift your skin at the sides of your eyes slightly and may improve your crow’s feet. However, if your crow’s feet are deep, it really wouldn’t make much of a difference.  You can get the Botox first, the fillers first, or both on the same day. No, you can even have the treatments at the same time. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox and fillers. Hope this helps.

You don’t have to do either Botox (Dysport, Xeomin), or fillers (Restylane, Belotero) first. I frequently use them both as part of a liquid facelift  performed on the same day. A board-certified dermatologist will help you rejuvenate your face using Botox to quiet down the wrinkles and fillers to restore lost volume.

Thank you for your question. If the filler and botox are going to be in different areas, then it does not matter in which order they are injected. If you are going to get filler and botox in the same area, you want to have the botox injected first. The botox keeps the muscles from moving (which causes the lines), and the filler fills in the lines to dissipate their appearance. If you do the filler without the botox, the muscle movement will continue and lines will still be visible. It is possible to acheive great results, but you must be patient and understand your providers recommendation. Be sure to consult with your physician for the best recommendation based on your facial assessment. Thank you for your question.  Using Botox to correct your frown lines & crows feet is fine to have following on from tear trough filler. There doesn't generally need to be a certain order to do it in and sometimes these treatments are performed at the same time, depending on the individuals requirements.

So i don't think it makes much difference, The two techniques are aimed at improving two separate signs of facial ageing, botox for lines and fillers for loss of volume in the upper mid face. You will be fine to have botox now I think, Hope that helps Adam Goodwin

The check filler will lift the central part of the face, and may have some impact around the eye area depending on where it is placed. If there is an element of volume loss making the crow's feet worse this would improve without toxin. The change to the crows feet from filler is likely to be small so you are still likely to need toxin.
For most people the order isn't that important, especially if you are going to treat other areas with toxin as well.

I routinely do these all on the same day for the areas in question as they are anatomically separate.  There is no preferred order if doing them separately.  Good luck from Lafayette/Baton Rouge!

It doesn't matter which treatment you have first. Actually, I commonly perform both treatments on the same day.
