Eyebrow movement on its own after Botox? And lasting over a year. Advice?

Question

I had Botox 4 times in total last time was a year and half ago, on the last time I had Botox I felt immense pressure across bridge of nose, under eyes? This settled after a few days. A few days later after having Botox my eyebrow started to move up and down on its own causing great discomfort, two weeks after Botox the Botox did not take and so the doctor gave me another lot, and said Botox wasn't the cause of my eyebrow moving? The second lot of Botox only took around my eyes and not my forehead??

After a year, this is unlikely due to Botox. Botos results resolve in 3-4 months. I recommend following up with your injector about your concerns. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. The heaviness could be explained by swelling or bruising, but overall your symptoms does not sound consistent with a typical Botox experience or known side effects. Make sure your injector is qualified and experienced! Good luck

This seems an unusual reaction. It is difficult to be specific about changes in eyebrow movement without knowing exactly where the toxin was placed. Any changes of movement in the muscles normally return to the previous state after 3 - 4 months. The issue of pressure across the bridge of nose and under the eyes could be due to the weakening of the muscles - causing muscle fatigue but could also be an allergic response (rare but can happen). I would recommend going back to the original injector to establish where the toxin was placed and which brand of toxin was used in case it was an allergic response.
Occasionally changes are not due to the toxin but other issues that occur at the same time, for example at this time of year some people get hay fever symptoms.
