Some FUE transplanted hair have not shed after three months and remain the same size. (photo)

I had 2200 grafts FUE transplants done exactly 3 months ago. I have taken good care of my hair, however, something that I have noticed is that some of my transplanted hair are still the same size as when they were transplanted as seen on the image in red circles. When i touch my head I can feel sharp tiny hairs and its these hairs that have not shed or grown for the past 3 months. Do I need to be worried?

Generally you will start to see slight growth in 3 months, about 50% at 6 months and full results from 9-12 months. It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  Some people may not see much after 6 months.

To reduce the chance of swelling it is advised that you sleep with your head elevated.  Doctor may also give you a steroid shot or pill(s).

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  In general wearing hat should be no issue.

If you followed your post operative instructions on how to wash your hair it should be fine. There is no way to assess if you damaged your grafts on the Internet.  Most likely it should be fine, but there is no way to tell.
