Based on your picture it looks like you are good candidate for a breast lift and no implants, I recommend an in person consultation would be best for a detailed exam.Always see a board certified PS.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are agreat candidate for a breast lift/reduction. This can be designed to result in animproved shape and contour of your breasts while minimizing scarappearance. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find asurgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with aqualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Dear Cher94,Determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. Implant profile is a very important consideration. Many patients wrongly assume that the higher the profile the better. The truth is, the more profile (or projection/height) and implant has, the narrower its base has to become. This has several problematic consequences. The first is that the patient loses width and therefor cleavage of the breast. The second is the breast becomes more narrow and pendulous, often falling lateral and onto the side of the chest, and third, high profile implants have a higher risk of bottoming out because they exert more pressure on the inframammary fold than moderate profile implants. High profile implants do have a role in symmastia repair (when I need to narrow the basewidth) but otherwise I try to avoid them.To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. Naturally large breast do not have upper pole fullness when one is undressed. Any upper pole fullness is usually due to an implant. Based on your photos, I would recommend a lift only because you have enough natural tissue to give you a large size. A good bra will give you the upper pole fullness in clothing.
Many thanks of your photo and question.Looking at your picture poi would be a great candidate for a breast reduction to help improve the shape of your breasts whilst lifting them at the same time.A reduction will, as mentioned above, lift your breasts and may temporarily give you some upper pole fullness both in and out of a bra, however with time your breast will bottom out thereby reducing any upper pole fullness you may have had restored. It is for this reason that I would advocate an implant under your breast tissue to help give and maintain the upper pole fullness.I would suggest you seek at least one in-person consultation and examination with a Board certified Plastic Surgeon who can assess you and go through your options more thoroughly for you.I wish you luck.Marcus
Hi mad tall, Breast lift surgery aims to re-volumize the breast with either and natural implant or fat grafting followed by nipple repositioning using the lift. I prefer to use a vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern for more...
Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and...
Based on your description, it sounds like you may be a good candidate for a breast reduction surgery if you would like the breast size to be decreased. Breast reduction surgery not only reduces breast volume, but also provides a breast lift. You would benefit from a consultation...
