Hi TinaThe best thing you can do is speak to your plastic surgeon. Your face doesn't usually fully recover from a facelift for a few months. However treatments such as facials can be ok as soon as the swelling has fully subsided. Congratulations on your new look!
You should consult with yoursurgeon, but in general, healing should be sufficient after 3 to 4 weeks to geta facial. However, you would be in a better positon to judge the needs andbenefits of a facial after the swelling is essentially completely resolved, which would be about 3 months. Thanks for your question!
I typically schedule a complimentary facial for my patients two weeks after their surgery. This gives them enough time to get over any immediate discomfort and allows the absorbeable sutures to dissolve.
I recommend you wait until things are well healed and you get the okay from your surgeon. In my practice I would advise waiting about a month.
The length of time after a facelift surgery to have a facial can vary. Once tissues have healed and are no longer tender, a patient can consider having a facial which is usually 2-4 weeks after surgery.
I allow my patients to get a facial from our aestheticians within 7-10 days post faceliftsurgery. The lymphatic massage in this area will allow for maximize wound healing anddecreasing of swelling. This is a routine part of my postoperative facelift regimen.
Hello. You should ask your surgeon how long he or she recommends that you wait prior to undergoing any additional facial procedures including a facial. The amount of time that is typically sufficient is one month. At one month or more, the incisions are usually healed well enough to endure a facial or hair coloring. If any skin resurfacing was performed simultaneously with the facelift (chemical or laser), additional healing time may be necessary prior to undergoing a facial.
Thanks for sharing. As long as healing has been normal after a facelift, I would say it would be safe to have a facial 6 weeks after. This is a generalization and I would consult with your surgeon for permission.
Thank you for your qustion. 4-6 weeks would be safe amount of time from a face lift to have a facial. Ask your Surgeon for his recommendation. Best Wishes.
Following a facelift the skin and soft tissues of the face have to heal back down to the deeper facial structures. If the facial skin is manipulated to soon eg. First two weeks, then bleeding could be induced. I prefer that my patients wait at least 6 weeks before they have a facial because that degree of facial soft tissue manipulation can cause swelling that we don't want
One of the most telling signs (or stigmata) after a facelift are elongated earlobes, often called pixie or satyr ears. Unfortunately, this happens all too frequently because most surgeons do not realize or know about recently advanced techniques to avoid this stigmata. The condition can be...
It is very common to have periauricular (aka around the ears) small lumps and bumps a month or so after a facelift. As a general rule, most of these settle down over the first few months. At times you can have little "skin tags" that are produced (especially behind the earlobe and...
Fat grafting has been a boon for my facelift patients. It helps by augmenting those areas that may be deficient with age and helps me achieve a more natural result without having to go to other fillers. In addition it has the added benefit of bringing stem cells to the area to help rejuvenate...
Depending on the laxity of the skin of the lower eyelids it is not uncommon for a surgeon to perform a procedure called a canthoplasty or canthopexy, which can temporarily give the eyes a smaller appearance. With time however, the normal eye shape should return which usually takes about 2-6 weeks.
Hello, sounds like this represents a deep suture. It can be trimmed/removed by your PS. If its a permaent suture it will not go away. If it is an absorbable suture, then it will dissolve over time, but you may not be able to wait that long if you are have pain and irritation. Your PS would be...
