Hello! I am 32 y.o mommy of 1. After losing all of my baby weight I am 150 pounds, I lost a lot of volume in my breasts and have loose skin on the lower half of my abdomen. I wanted to get a mommy makeover but wanted to know if I could do a mini tummy tuck for my abdomen and if I could acheive volume with an implant only, no lift?
Answer: Mini TT or Full, Aug or Lift Hello and thank you for providing photos. It does appear that a full abdominoplasty or lipoabdominoplasty would be best for your aesthetics. It would take in person evaluation to be sure but you may be able to have a Breast augmentation alone, depending on the size of the implant you choose. It will take a moderate to large volume implant to appropriately fill out your skin envelope. You can always start with an aug and if you still desire a lift you can do so safely just a few months after the augmentation.

Answer: Tummy tuck with lift and implants When looking at your photos, it does appear that you have lot of lax skin. Generally, if you are able to grab that skin and stretch it to lift up to your upper abdomen area you would be considered a candidate for a full Tummy tuck. As far as the breasts, Of course an implant would give you volume back and round you out on top, giving the breasts more shape to them. Although, your nipples do appear to be at the bottom of your breast and the distance and length of your breasts appear to be quite long. All of your breast tissue is at the bottom of your breasts, where as above that is all excess skin. You would benefit quite well for a lift with implants to get the best possible outcome.

Answer: Mommy makeover It appears you would need a full tummy tuck to avoid having dog ears or excess skin bunched up at the hips. The scar is along the panty line and as long as you follow post operative instructions can be barely noticeable. As for your breasts, it is hard to tell from the photos if you would have enough fat that could be harvested, but you could have liposuction of your abdomen, backs, flanks, and possibly inner thighs and that fat could be transferred into the breasts giving them more volume. Implants are another wonderful option to give breasts volume. As for if you need a lift, are you happy with the position of your nipples? If you would like to be seen in my office for a consultation here at Smith Plastic Surgery, reach out to my office at 702-838-2455

Answer: Mommy makeover You are not a candidate for a mini tummy tuck. Your excess skin is too great and extends too widely. You will need a full tummy tuck. In terms of your breasts, you would benefit from a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After 6 months, liposuction and fat transfers to the breasts can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Mommy makeover: Can I get away with just a mini tummy tuck and breast implants only (no lift)? Based on your photos, I would suggest that you can certainly improve the abdominal appearance with a mini tummy tuck. However, your best results will be with a full tummy tuck. A breast lift will elevate the nipple and improve the shape of the breast, but will not add volume. That is why I would suggest an implant for upper breast volume. Good luck!

Answer: Recommendations on Tummy Tuck and Breast Augmentation Thank you for your question, and for sharing your pictures and history. In my assessment, you would benefit most from a full tummy tuck rather than a mini version. The full procedure would better address the skin laxity and also allow for more effective muscle repair. A mini tummy tuck might not provide the desired results based on the extent of skin and underlying muscle laxity. Regarding the breast procedure, simply opting for implants without a lift could result in a less satisfactory outcome. Implants alone, given the present state of your breast tissues, might cause the breasts to sag further over time. An anchor or at least a lollipop mastopexy (breast lift) in conjunction with implants would likely offer a more aesthetically pleasing and lasting result. In short, while a mini tummy tuck and breast implants alone are possible, I believe the combination of a full tummy tuck and breast lift with implants will give you the most satisfactory and enduring results. Good luck in your decision-making process. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
