I've had my last child a year ago. I'm ready to get my body back. I've lost 40lbs and am back to my pre pregnancy weight. 135, 5'4.5. My stomach looks bloated and feels heavy, I believe I need diatsis repair. My butt is flatter than usual and looks deflated. What I want from a mommy makeover is a tummy tuck, with fat transfer to butt with labiaplasty. I don't want my butt to be huge, just proportioned. I had Brest augmentation 14 years ago and they are still good enough for me. Can I do this?
Answer: Mommy Makeover Feeling bloated or having a sensation of heaviness in the stomach can result from various factors, including digestive issues, fluid retention, or underlying health concerns. Before considering a Mommy Makeover or any surgical procedure, it's crucial to determine the cause of these symptoms. A consultation with a healthcare provider, such as a primary care physician or a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in Mommy Makeovers, can help identify the underlying reasons for your bloating and discomfort. They can assess your health, perform necessary evaluations, and offer guidance on the best course of action. Here are some considerations: Health Assessment: A comprehensive evaluation will help determine if the bloating and heaviness are due to factors like excess fat, loose abdominal muscles, or other medical issues unrelated to cosmetic surgery. Addressing Underlying Issues: If the bloating is due to digestive issues, fluid retention, or other health concerns, it might be necessary to address these issues before considering a Mommy Makeover. Surgical Candidacy: Your overall health and specific symptoms will determine if you're a suitable candidate for a Mommy Makeover. The surgeon will assess your health status to ensure safety during and after the procedure. It's essential to discuss your concerns and symptoms openly with your healthcare provider during the consultation. They will guide you on the appropriate steps to address any underlying issues and determine if a Mommy Makeover is a suitable option for you based on your health and individual circumstances.

Answer: Mommy Makeover You can absolutely have an Abdominoplasty, diastasis repair with liposuction and fat transfer to your buttocks with a labiaplasty as long as you are in relatively good health. I would highly recommend staying over night for care if you do pursue multiple procedures at once. Would love to see you here at Smith Plastic Surgery for a consultation.

Answer: Mommy Makeover Thank you for detailing your concerns and goals. Based on your description, a combined procedure of a tummy tuck, fat transfer to the butt (BBL), breast revision, and lipo could address your concerns about your abdomen and buttocks. These procedures can often be done simultaneously. However, while the labiaplasty is also a common component of a mommy makeover, it might be best to perform it in a separate procedure for optimal healing and results. As always, a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine the best approach tailored to your specific needs and safety.

Answer: Considering a Mommy Makeover with a Bloated Stomach Thank you for your question about whether you can have a mommy makeover despite feeling bloated. To provide the most accurate answer, I recommend consulting with a plastic surgeon for a thorough evaluation. Based on your history, it appears that you might benefit from muscle plication during your tummy tuck. This suggests that a full or traditional tummy tuck would be more suitable for your needs. During a tummy tuck, the rectus abdominis muscle is tightened, and excess skin and fat from just above the pubic region to the belly button are permanently removed. Whether you require liposuction during the tummy tuck procedure depends on your case. If liposuction is necessary, the harvested fat can be used for buttock augmentation through fat transfer. To determine the best approach and address your bloated stomach, a personalized consultation with a plastic surgeon is essential. They will be able to assess your unique situation and recommend the most appropriate procedures for your desired outcome. I hope this response helps guide you in considering a mommy makeover and encourages you to schedule a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Mommy Makeover Candidate Congratulations on your weight loss and your decision to undergo a Mommy Makeover to further enhance your body. Based on your description, you could benefit from a tummy tuck, liposuction, labiaplasty, breast reaugmentation, and a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) for fat transfer to your buttocks. The tummy tuck can address your bloated and heavy feeling by removing excess skin and tightening the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti repair). Fat can be harvested from suitable areas of your body and transferred to your buttocks during the BBL, providing a more proportioned look as you desire. Given that your breast augmentation was 14 years ago, it may also be worth considering a breast implant exchange, even if you're currently satisfied. Implants aren't lifetime devices and their condition should be evaluated regularly. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a personalized assessment and to discuss these recommendations in detail. I would recommend combining these procedures into two-staged procedures to minimize the trips to the operating room. You could combine the breast, labiaplasty, and tummy tuck in your first procedure, followed by liposuciton and BBL in your second procedure.
