Would chin liposuction deliver noticeable results? It the amount of fat too small? (photos)

A non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

​I find that VASER liposuction in combination with Renuvion or ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis, TruSculpt iD, or Coolsculpting. Generally, I prefer both chin and jawline liposuction simultaneously to provide better definition and contour. You have a nice contour to your jawline but a small amount of fat is noted beneath your chin. Another option id Kybella treatments but I usually recommend liposuction.

In cases of very little fat under the chin, injection of Kybella can make a big difference. For more aggressive treatment Chin Liposuction with Thermitight would be the choice.
Chin Liposuction and Thermitight
Chin liposuction helps reduce the bulge under the chin and can be done for the whole neck. Once the fat is removed the skin can become loose and saggy in some cases. It can be avoided by combining it with Thermitight which is a radiofrequency heat delivered under the skin to tighten it. Both chin liposuction and Thermitight can be done at the same time. The recovery is fast and it can be done under local anesthesia.

The photographs demonstrate a small amount of fat in the neck and a recessive chin profile. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward. Liposuction in the neck can accomplish removal of the small deposits of fat in that location. Both procedures can be performed together simultaneously under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure

The contour of the lower one third of the face is primarily determined by the shape, contour and size of the mandible and its relationship to the Maxilla.
Fat as one tissue component that can be used to improve the contour in this area. The more fat that’s present the more potential change Liposuction can accomplish.
From your pictures your jawline looks very well defined and your fat layer seems very thin.
To me that means that Liposuction could give an even more defined jawline but the final outcome will still be relatively subtle because there isn’t much fat to remove in the first place.
Delivering consistent quality liposuction results can be more tricky and difficult than people believe and not all providers have sufficient skill and experience to do the job without creating potential negative consequences. liposuction is a fairly permanent and irreversible procedure.Any procedure needs to be put into a risk benefit ratio assessment and on the negative side is the real risk of a patient choosing a provider who lacks sufficient skill and experience leaving the patient with an undesirable outcome they can be difficult or not possible to correct.
In the hands of a talented provider well done Liposuction should put the icing on the cake in regards to getting a chiseled jawline appearance.
In the hands of a provider lacking skill and experience it could be a regrettable decision.
Being a board-certified plastic surgeon with overall a good reputation is not sufficient to guarantee someone has mastered doing facial liposuction.
Patient discretion with proper vetting of plastic surgeons is my best recommendation.
Rely exclusively on in person consultations and ask each provider to open up their portfolios and show their entire collection of before and after pictures.
Ask specifically to see as many pictures as possible of other patients who have similar facial characteristics.
An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after picture of commonly performed procedures and chin and neck Liposuction is fairly common.
The great majority of patients who seek liposuction of the chin and neck area have some facial skeletal imbalance typically with a mandible that is small or lacking in projection in some areas. this often goes hand-in-hand with individuals who have an overbite dental occlusion with facial profile pictures showing an upper lip with more forward projection than the lower lip. in the end the single variable almost all patient requesting this procedure have in common is in the end an issue related to facial bone structure.
Facial soft tissue covering tends to be highly consistent among individuals. What differentiates each persons unique individual look whether it be male or female attractive or not so is primarily based on skeletal structure not on soft tissue coverage.
