I am trying to figure it what would bring more balance to my face. Should I go for chin reduction or trying to protrude my lips to match the length of my chin? I'm stuck and feel like I just need some help figuring out which path is best to achieve the "from ugly to average" kind of look.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Chin Reduction Hello, You are definitely not an ugly man, let's start with this fact. You have a beautiful face, and your bone structure is great! I think the most important thing I should advise you is that you have to give yourself more credit and start to look from a more realistic point of view. Then you will see you are already above "average" If you look for it you can find a way to upgrade every single person's appearance. It's in human nature to be open to making changes. In your case, yes a chin reduction would give you satisfaction. We can also remove the upper eyelids so that your eyes could look bigger and open. The last thing I would advise is to get filler for your jawline to make it more defined. My main point is you are not far away from perfection. Small procedures can create wonders on your face since you already have a good frame & structure. Hope you found this answer helpful.

Answer: Male aesthetics Male aesthetics is a pretty complex topic. The truth is that pure physical attractiveness it’s only a small part of what makes a man stand out and look good. Perhaps the greatest attribute to presenting well it’s a man who carries himself with confidence. Confidence has to be earned typically by excepting ever increasing difficult challenges in life successfully. In regards to pure physical aesthetic assessment each persons unique look is primarily based on skeletal structure. Facial soft tissue coverage tends to be very consistent from person to person and with the exception of facial aging is not what contributes to be attractive or less attractive. Get an assessment in regards to facial aesthetics is sometimes better done by oral surgeons or those who have a fundamental background in cranial facial surgery. Soft tissue manipulation is limited to what it can do and often fails if the fundamental problem is based on bone structure. In your case for example your mandible is slightly out of balance with the body of the mandible being slightly short while the mentalis project slightly too far. while having a projecting chin may be slightly out of balance it’s far better to have a big chin then the lack of one. Individuals who are born with a weak chin tend to look meek and with some lack of authority. You’re certainly welcome to consult with surgeons but if you really want to do it right you need to go to surgeons who can do it on our bone or skeletal level. General lee oral surgeons wire plastic surgeons with craniofacial fellowship training are going to be the right type of provider. Most plastic surgeons will probably push things like Botox and fillers which probably isn’t quite what you’re looking for but then again maybe it is. My suggestion is to spend less time looking in the mirror and focus your gaze directly on what to conquering control and mount. Stay fit, avoid becoming obese and pay close attention to having an appropriate wardrobe. while it doesn’t address your question or concern I recommend most men except their genetic heritage with pride not second-guess how they are perceived. If you consult with the plastic surgeons expect them to try to sell you on some procedure. If you decide to move forward with any surgical intervention do so with caution and enough time to be considered your decision thoroughly with confirmation through multiple consultations. I personally I would recommend you take what you’ve been given and run with it. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
