Tummy tuck and breast scars not healing well after 3 months of surgery. (photos)

Abdominoplasty scars can be quite complex, ranging from the simple hypertrophic scar to a multiplane inflamed keloid. Pigmentation, discoloration, chronic inflammation, scar visibility can all occur in the short term. We begin each treatment with combination therapy using Yellow broadband BBL, Vbeam, fractional erbium, intralesional IIT, and scar modulation. Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I see your areas of concern.  Incisions can heal differently based on a number of different factors including tension on the skin surface and the type and location of sutures used.  It appears that your tummy tuck may have had some small superficial separations or stitch abscesses while your own breast has some hypertrophic scarring present.  I would discuss with your surgeon possible treatment options to maximize the scars' appearance and I have attached a link below with additional information.  Best wishes. 

Natural treatments with jojoba have been shown to reduce acne scarring, but the efficacy of vitamin E in scar treatment is largely anecdotal. Still, moisturizing your scars and avoiding UV exposure can help them heal to a smoother texture and softer color. It can take scars up to a full year to mature completely.

Scars remodel for one year after surgery. It is still too early to really judge what the final result will be. 

It appears your scars are healing appropriately at this point.  It takes several months for scars to mature and fade.  If you have concerns at that time you can choose to have them revised.  Continue to follow the instructions from your plastic surgeon.

Hello,From your photos it looks like everything is healing within a reasonable normal range of wound healing. If you've had no infection or wound dehiscence (separation), it may just be that one side is healing with a thinner, less visible scar than the other side. You may have small suture granulomas (little lumps where dissolvable stitches are under the skin), which can take time to go away. Sometimes we have to pop out or cut short these knots if they are irritating the wound edge. Your best bet is to stay in close touch with your surgeon and ask for specific wound care recommendations. If a patient is still unhappy with a scar months later, we will sometimes recommend Fraxel laser therapy to blend the scar in.

I recommend ScaRxtape for all my patients. It is not expensive and it can be worn easily for up to a week. Unfortunately, you should have started using it directly after the surgery but it should still help.
