A MM typically includes a TT, breast augmentation or breast lift, and liposuction. Liposuction with BBL combined with TT and breast augmentation and breast lift is reasonable at one surgery with an expert surgeon and a healthy patient. Your shape will be determined by how the surgeries are performed, how much tissue is undermined, how much tissue is removed, how much fat is extracted, etc. The key here is not the procedures performed but how these procedures are performed. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed these procedures hundreds of times and has a great number of reviews and before and after pictures. Thank you for your question. It is common for procedures to be done at the same surgical time, however, there are safety limits so it depends. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to advise you about what procedures you are a candidate for and what can be done at the same time. Good luck.
The answer is...it depends. To answer that question, we really need to know your overall health and the extent of procedures that you are looking into. As far as credentialing, while I agree with the physician who suggested that you seek a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, I do not agree that that surgeon needs to be a member of ASAPS. Many very good experienced Plastic Surgeons are not members of ASAPS and will give you just as good a result. But you definitely do want to seek out someone who is Board Certified. I hope that helps and wish you the very best.
Thank you for your question. Mommy makeovers involve various combinations of proceudres to improve the breasts, abdomen, hips, back, arms, legs, buttocks, etc after childbirth. Combination procedures are safe and very effective in the right hands. The surgeon HAS to be an expert in EACH procedure and must have a lot of experience in performing combination procedures and can minimize the operative time. For example, we work in a team and would take around 4-5 hours for the complete operation. This allows us to get better results with less surgical time and less trauma. Combination procedures can give powerful results but SAFETY is KEY. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Thank you for your question. It may be possible to complete all of your desired procedures, but in most surgeon's hands this will test the amount of time advisable for an aesthetically based case. An in-person examination is needed to make the best advice, so be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon so that the correct procedures can be determined.
Mommy Makeover consists of a Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift/ Breast augmentation/ and breast reduction. Can I combine liposuction with another procedure? The short answer is yes but really limited. Firstly, we are only allowed to remove 1000cc or 1 liter when we combine procedures. The patient should know that when procedures are combined especially when it includes liposuction the complication rate goes up tremendously. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Mommy makeover and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote possible. Please be mindful that the in person physical exam is the most important and could potentially alter your treatment plan.
Technically yes, they can be done at the same time. However, this would lengthen your operation, increase your risks for complications and make your recovery that much more difficult. Be sure to consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Combining procedures is common, but not everyone is a candidate. The best way to find out a plan that is right for you is to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area. An examination and review of your medical history needs to be completed. Based on the findings and your surgical goals, your surgeon will assist in designing a customized surgical plan to help you achieve the best results.
Thank you for your awesome question! Your bio is very helpful, however without the benefit of knowing your full health history and an in person exam it's impossible to say for certain. I perform many BBL plastic surgeries on patients from all over the country. I would recommend you have an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon with these credentials: *Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery -- The gold star symbol*A member of the ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons) -- The circle symbol*A member of the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) -- the Queen Nefertitti symbol with a Triangle *On faculty at local plastic surgery teaching program -- in our office we are affiliated with both Duke and UNC schools of plastic surgery. Feel free to contact our office, it would be our pleasure to answer your questions in person. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the best in your journey. My sincere best, Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS

Thank you for asking about your mini-tummy tuck. The blisters appear to be from skin irritation from tape.Cover them and leave them alone - a blister will gradually absorb its fluid and an unpopped blister heals very well.If you have increasing tenderness or other concerns about your healing,...
Insurance will pay for a hernia repair almost always. They will not pay for diastasis recti repair. They will pay for a breast reduction if you meet the criteria. They will not pay for an augmentation or lift. They may pay for a panniculectomy if you skin hanging over 2 inches. This is not a...
