A blood pressure of 124/89 is not that high... This can be caused by anxiety when taking the blood pressure in the office, something ingested that can transiently increase your blood pressure, hypertension, or a number of other factors. It's not just blood pressure, but a variety of measures that are evaluated to determine patient safety, including age, weight, other medical problems, etc... A medical clearance with a primary care provider would ensure that you are safe and optimized before any procedure.
Plastic surgery, while offering remarkable transformations, carries inherent potential risks that must not be underestimated. A comprehensive preoperative workup is of utmost importance. By conducting a proper preoperative assessment, the surgeon can identify potential risk factors and take necessary precautions to minimize complications, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and achieving the best possible results. In my practice, all my patients get: - Full set of labs including tox screen. - Chest x-ray- EKG- Medical clearance. - Specialist clearance (if they are being treated for a chronic condition). - Nicotine and drug test.
Dear Pana1989, Thanks for sharing your concern, as any surgery you should have a previous authorization from the anesthesia team and of course a cardiologist, with that boold pressure I do not see any problem to go on with your procedure. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.
Thank you for your question. To be a good candidate for the procedures you want, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal.Kind Regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello @pana1989, thank you for your question. Blood pressure is an important factor in determining the safety and success of any aesthetic procedure. Your blood pressure is within normal limits. However, I recommend consulting closely with your specialist and following his or her recommendations regarding presurgical tests. Your specialist will be able to provide advice tailored specifically for you based on different factors such as age, general health condition, and the extent of surgery. Best wishes! Dear pana1989,124/89 mmHg is normal blood pressure so it won't be a contraindication for surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
As for any major surgery, you should be cleared for general anesthesia by your PCP. I do not see the reason why you should not have BBL with above BP. Hope this helps.
That’s what pressure it’s pretty close to ideal and it’s probably very typical. I don’t think your blood pressure will be an issue for having elective cosmetic surgery. I suggest you discuss your diastolic blood pressure with your primary care doctor.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Hi. That's a great blood pressure. I don't see any reason why this would cause any problems. Even in patients with some hypertension (140/90), the surgery can be done.
Hello, thank you for your question. It really depends on the amount of fat you have to begin with to determine how much fat we can evenly inject to each buttock. BBL is not just about injection of a lot of fat it also works on carving out an hour glass figure which seems to have been a success...
Dear Markov1, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You would need to get clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and...
Thanks for your question. Without pictures, it is difficult to provide a proper evaluation. That said, at my practice, a bbl includes 360 lipo which targets the upper and lower abdomen and back, and the flanks with liposuction to contour the waistline. Then, the fat is grafted into the buttocks...
