However, generally speaking though, if you have been cleared by your treating physician in terms of your daily functioning being established without any other medical problems, then there is no reason why you should not be considered a candidate for this type of procedure as long as there are no contraindications revealed during your consultation visit with the plastic surgeon. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You would need to get clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Hello, thank you for your question. I don't think it's a matter of qualifying for the BBL, but rather of risk assessment. Liposuction, along with the tummy tuck, are the procedures more likely to create a DVT and /or a Pulmonary embolism. Because of your wedge resection and the pleurodesis, a small pulmonary embolism that may be near inconspicuous in an normal patient, could have devastating consequences for you, so I wouldn't take the chance

Having had a previous lung operation should not automatically disqualify you from elective cosmetic surgery. Each plastic surgeon will have their own criteria in regarding to candidacy. I suggest having multiple in person consultation with local court certified plastic surgeon in your area so you can get a quality assessment. At that time we can talk about your medical history and see what each plastic surgeon hast to say firsthand.
