Can I have surgery to add a nose bump? (Photos)

Question

I've always liked how nose bumps look, and I want one too. I already have a nose bump, but it doesn't look like the one I want. I haven't seen anyone who has had surgery to get a bump, so I don't know if it's possible to get a nose bump with surgery or, in my case, shape it the way I want. Here are the photos of the bump I have and the bump I want.

It can be done by adding cartilage to the area. However, it is not a very common wish we see from our patients. Therefore, I highly recommend you to see a plastic surgeon who is very experienced.

I understand that you would like to change the appearance of your current dorsal hump from one to another, however, I do not believe that this is feasible. In general, goals of rhinoplasty surgery are to provide a less distracting nasal appearance, along with better nasal breathing. Yes - this can be done. A bump on the nose is excess bone or cartilage. We can create that for you and place it on the nose in the size / shape you desire.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is possible to add dorsal augmentation with a dorsal onlay graft . I always use diced cartilage wrapped in fascia for this. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
