I'm 19 days post op and my implants - which are not big - are still sitting near my collarbone. I get that it's early -- what I want to know is why this happens to some women and not to others? Were mine put in too high? I lift heavy weight -- are my chest muscles super tight and holding them there? Is the pocket too small? And at what point would I need a revision if they don't drop?

Answer: Why do implants ride high in some women and not in others? Thank you for the question; congratulations on having undergone the breast augmentation procedure. As you know, is much too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed. It is most likely that you will find that you will not have “forever high breasts”. Generally speaking, when breast augmentation is performed a “pocket” is created. Depending on the size and position of the breast implant pockets dissected, as well as the size of the breast implant used, and the patient's anatomy, it may take some time for the breast implants to “settle” into the dissected pocket. This process may be referred to as “dropping and fluffing”. It may require 3 to 6 months to occur. at this point, although easier said than done, I would suggest ongoing patience; you will find that time and patience will be your "best friends" over the next several weeks/months. Best wishes.

Answer: High implants Hi Duggy. One more reason for implants looking high and very frecuent is when they are placed under the muscle. With the muscle contraction because of the implant and all the swelling they look very high, but when contrature and swelling go away they look much better. Regards.
