It looks like most of what you've done is to remove the bump on the bridge and "de-project" the nose, which is moving the bridge and tip and entire nose back closer to the face. That's a good way to make a prominent nose less prominent. The problem is that when you make those two changes -- lowering a bump and deprojecting a nose -- it can make the tip *look* as though it dropped, so often we raise the tip just a bit, to make sure that the nose doesn't look longer after surgery. However, if you're happy with the length of the nose -- how high or low your tip is -- that doesn't have to be changed. You should get to decide what happens and what the goals are with your rhinoplasty. It's possible to get all this figured out with morphs made before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. Profile and three-quarter views would be particularly important in morphing your nose. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.)Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. For most noses, it's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations.
It is a little hard to tell from one photo, but if you are asking if you can take down the bump without changing the tip, then yes, you certainly can. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
Looking at the tip, it looks like you just want to bring up and rotate the infratip region and leave the columella in the same angle. You would just need to explain that exactly to your surgeon.
Hello! Thank you for your question. It is not possible to do this without touching your nose tip. I recommend rhinoplasty. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best regards!
Much more information is needed, such as a full set of facial and nasal photographs from all angles to Make a determination about how best to proceed. Digital computer imaging of your nose from different angles can be accomplished. Also important to remember the nose is a three-dimensional structure, and rhinoplasty is performed at all three dimensions, so it's important to look at all the angles, not just focused on one three-quarter angle. choose your rhinoplasty specialist wisely based upon extensive experience producing natural results
Based on the pictures, I would say you need dorsal reduction as supra-tip break and alar trim. this can be done through an open or closed approach rhinoplasty. Different providers will have different recommendations for doing it open versus closed rhinoplasty. Open rhinoplasty does leave a potential visible scar, but has a higher consistency rate with mower revision chance. Personally, I prefer open rhinoplasty and find that surgeons who know how to close the nose correctly can do the procedure without negative sequelae. Try finding the most experienced and talented rhinoplasty surgeon in your community. What you’re looking to achieve is relatively straightforward, but rhinoplasty surgery is inherently complex, and there is no room foe error. It’s worth putting in the effort to find the right surgeon before having the procedure. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons, is it during the vetting process. I suggest having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of the previous patients, who had similar nose profiles that you do. An experienced surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Take careful notes during each consultation, especially regarding the quantity and quality of before, and after pictures. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best work other providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like for the amount of variation of resource, in the hands of each provider. When in doubt, slow down and schedule more consultations. Whenever possible, avoid virtual consultations. I generate recommend not traveling long distances for elective procedures, but sometimes travel may be necessary. If traveling, try to keep the distance to where you can commit to having in person postoperative visits. Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
Hi! Everyone's noses unfortunately widen at the base when they are smiling due to how the smile muscles attach to the face. If this is something that really bothers you, steroid injections would not help this far out, although you are welcome to try. It is possible that you may have some scar...
