Thank you very much for your question.For stiffness after liposuction, you may get massage or endermology treatments to help resolve some of the swelling and break up some scar tissue.  If not, the stiffness will go away eventually, but it just may take a bit longer.  I recommend you contact Dr. Salama and ask for a recommendation on what to do.  Best of luck!

Time will take care of everything by itself.There is really no way to speed up the natural healing process which takes several months after liposuctionThe firmness and possible lumpiness that patients often feel after liposuction for the first few weeks typically dissipates from six weeks to three months after the procedure.Some of it may persist for as long six months.Rarely if ever our patients left with permanent firm areas unless something did not turn out as expected.The maturation of scar tissu happens on the molecular level and simply needs to take it's course.my practice is solely devoted to liposuction in for transfer.While many plastic surgeons recommend massage I do not particularly find it to have any long-term benefit.I suggest you follow up with your plastic surgeon who is the best person to address your concerns.After all I'm sure you paid him a substantial amount of money for the treatment.Part of that expense includes follow up care including answering questions.I would with some certainty expect that all the areas treated will soften up very nicely by themselves with enough time.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
