I have a somewhat bulbous/bifid nose. There is a definite crease down the middle of my nose that is getting more and more noticeable as I get older. It's slightly crooked as well. I'm looking at having non surgical tip rhinoplasty with bellafill injection. Hoping to achieve a softer, smoother nose tip but do not want to make my nose more bulbous in doing so. Looking for opinions of what the best route to go to achieve a softer, more feminine nose.
Answer: Non-surgical Rhinoplasty candidates Hi. I do need to see more angles on your nose especially your profile and non smiling pictures to be able to see if a non surgical rhinoplasty would be good or bad for you. What you see with the bifid tip is a normal tip with two normal tip cartilages on each side covered with very very thin skin that gets even thinner with age. So the issue is mainly the skin as far as the bifidity. Its not that others have one cartilage and you have two. Everyone has two but thicker skin covers it. Now the shape of the cartilages also play a part. Overall a smaller tip fits your face better. I would not inject too much filler as it will make your tip larger. BUT if your bridge is low and if you would benefit from subtle elevation of the bridge non-surgically with a filler then that gives you more of an opportunity to improve and hide the tip issue as well. It is a complex anatomic concept that is hard to explain in a few paragraphs on realself but a good skilled specialist should be able to examine you and show you the options using computer imaging. So the short answer is, maybe.....

Answer: Rhinoplasty vs. Dermal Filler You accurately described your nose as having a somewhat bulbous and bifid tip, along with minor asymmetries and some disproportion for your facial features. In my view, I think that you would be an outstanding candidate for a primary rhinoplasty through an open approach, and would forego injectable fillers. I would search for an experiences, reputable Facial Plastic Surgeon with special interest in rhinoplasty for a complete consultation. Good luck

Answer: Surgical rhinoplasty versus nonsurgical rhinoplasty It's important to be extremely careful injecting fillers in the nose because they can make the nose larger and more bulbous, which is counterproductive. In addition, Fillers are only temporary, are not FDA approved for that application and can have significant complications. A surgical rhinoplasty can accomplish narrowing the bulbous tip and improving the bifid tip. Thin skin will still show some minor irregularities.
