Would I benefit more from a BBL or a mommy makeover? (photos)

Hello, Based on your photos you would definitely be a mommy makeover candidate. As for if you should do that or BBL, why not do both? The fat harvested from your abdomen could be placed in the buttocks on the same day. If you are having to choose between one or the other, I recommend perusing the abdominoplasty first to see the most drastic change in your figure. If you did decide to do abdominoplasty, breast lift, and bbl in same day surgery, you would need to have a dedicated loved one or caretaker with you for the first 2-3 days to comfortably recover. In my practice, a mommy makeover usually includes breast enhancement (probably a breast lift, in your case), tummy tuck and possible liposuction to provide further body contouring. These techniques could produce beautifully dramatic results for you. However, there is no reason to choose the mommy makeover instead of the Brazilian butt lift – I frequently add the BBL to the mommy makeover for my patients to further enhance their results. Fat removed during the liposuction portion of the mommy makeover can be used to augment the buttocks for a curvier backside. Choose a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in all these body contouring procedures to ensure a safe and successful surgery. Good luck!

Thank you for  sharing your picture.    You definitely  will be  better looking with a mommy make over with a tummy tuck.  The BBL can be done simultaneously.

Tummy Tuck and Breast lift- will provide the most dramatic change. You can schedule BBL as a second stage of surgeries- as the post-op instructions for Tummy Tuck and breast lift will contradict BBL post-op instructions as well as the risks for complications are much higher. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS for in person exam

Based on your photos alone, however, addressing your breasts and abdomen together will definitely have the most dramatic effect on your appearance. Making your breasts perkier will enhance the flattening of your stomach achieved with a tummy tuck. The two procedures are commonly performed together and have a good safety record. A BBL, while enhancing your buttocks, will do little else. This operation also has a poorer safety record with much higher complication rates.

Based on your photos, it looks like a mommy makeover will provide the comprehensive results you are looking for. However, you can also include a Brazilian butt lift as part of your mommy makeover procedure. The fat removed during liposuction as part of a mommy makeover can be used to help you achieve your desired buttocks appearance, so combining these procedures would be a great way to achieve all of your goals.

Dear tda020309, Thank you for your question. Based on the pictures you provided, you would potentially benefit from both. It all depends which areas of your body you like to have improved most. Having a tummy tuck would potentially give you the most dramatic change, especially if combined with liposuction of the flanks, and maybe even a breast lift. You can have all procedures in one without any problem, of course based on your pre op blood work that everything comes out well. tea020309. Good question. It appears from your photos that you would get a much more dramatic and satisfying result with mommy makeover surgery. It will nicely transform the contour of your trunk and  shape your breasts. I would also have liposuction of your back. It is best to try to lower your BMI to around 30 to get the best possible result. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!

For your breasts, I recommend The Bellesoma Method.  This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained.  After this, I would recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement, if you are not planning future pregnancies.  The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.  After this, you will probably need liposuction and at that time, fat can be harvested and transferred to your breasts or buttocks if additional volume is desired.  I would do this in 3 stages and in that order.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
