Will superficial Juvederm go away? (Photo)

Question

I got Juvederm one month ago and I massaged it too much so the filler is uneven and out of place. in the picture, does this look like a superficial filler? will it go away? I got Juvederm that the doctor said was supposed to last 6 months and I do not want hyaluronidase injected. I want to approach the natural route. will this go away with time?

It will gradually go away, but it can also be dissolved with hyaluronidase. I suggest speaking with your injector. Hope this helps.

Yes, it will gradually resolve. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It looks like there is a small amount of filler in the lower lip that can be easily dissolved. If you don't want the filler dissolved then it will go away on its own.  Please consult an expert in cosmetic fillers for the best results. Best, Dr. Green

The effects of the Juvederm will gradually fade over time.  If the look is bothersome to you, you can elect to have a touch up or have the remaining product dissolved.

Judging from your photograph, your lips look actually quite good. If you're referring to the little bow in the lower lip it was probably created intentionally since many people find this very attractive. Good luck from New York City

Thank you for your question. It is a little difficult to tell from the picture if the Juvederm is superficial. This a lot of times appears as a clear bubble under the skin. I would not advise anyone massage their on their own due to what has happened with you. You most likely moved the product to an area that was not intended. Juvederm is not permanent! So don't worry in time the product will slowly dissolve and the unevenness will too. I would return to your provider and see if they can potentially mold the filler back in place.
