Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this.

We can place a chin implant, which is a quick surgical procedure. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, however, so for those patients, we also offer non-surgical chin augmentation with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill, and Sculptra are injected into the area to improve the overall appearance of the lower face and balance the jaw and lip harmony. The amount of fillers needed to bring the best harmony and balance to your face would be determined during an in-person evaluation. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline, and improve the chin crease.

The required amount of filler varies based on individual anatomy and desired results, typically ranging from 1 to 4 cc for chin augmentation. Surgical chin implantation offers a more permanent solution to increase chin projection, with the size of the implant depending on facial structure and desired aesthetic outcomes. You are a suitable candidate for chin implant surgery. I prefer to conduct a physical examination and then decide on the implant sizes and surgery. During the examination, I evaluate your facial proportions and recommend the appropriate implant size and shape. Fat injection is also another option, but is not long lasting. In some cases, a combination of treatments such as fillers, implants, and fat grafting may be recommended depending on individual needs and goals.
