Answer: Chucks and sanitary napkins for blood leakage? Thank you for the question. This is a very good idea. I tend to leave the incisions open and therefore tell my patients to place plastic garbage bags and towels over their mattress as well to avoid getting it wet. This drainage will usually last about 2 to 3 days. I would also suggest you follow your PCP's recommendation of a tetanus update prior to your surgery. I hope this helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Post op care Hi there. It's a good idea to get chucks for your post op drainage but occasionally there is very little leakage after surgery. You should also follow your PCP's recommendations. I wish you well with your surgery. Feel fabulous, look fabulous. Dr. B
