When can I fly after liposuction, fat transfer and rhinoplasty? And what about arboxytherapy post-liposuction?

I want to get a belly liposuction and fat transfer to my butt and breasts. Also, at the same time I want to get a small rhinoplasty (just for flared nostrils). When is it safe to fly after all of these procedures? Also, my friend's dad is a plastic surgeon and said that doing 10 sessions of carboxytherapy 10 days after liposuction will help get a very nice result and smooth even skin. Is this true? Will it be okay to do carboxytherapy after liposuction AND fat transfer?

Thanks for the question. You should be able to flying by 1-2 weeks after your surgery. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.

I don't think there is any danger in flying even a day after liposuction or rhinoplasty. Nevertheless, this is something that should be cleared by your own surgeon. Don't waste your money on carboxy therapy.

It depends on how far you are traveling, but I usually ask my patients to stay in town for 2 weeks after surgery you are describing. There is no reasonable evidence in the plastic surgery literature demonstrating any evidence that Carboxytherapy is an effective treatment. Good Luck!

Great question, but each surgeon has their own style in the management of the patient in the post operative period, therefore this is a question best suited for your chosen plastic surgeon not an internet panel. As for the carboxytherapy there is no empirical data to suggest that it is effective. Best wishes.

the amount of time that it takes for you to travel after such surgeries can deferred depending on the magnitude and length of the operation, but I generally prefer our patients to stay in town for approximately 2 weeks after similar operations.  Your surgeon may feel differently and would actually be the best person to ask instead of asking around.

Flying after surgery depends upon the type of surgery you had performed.    I prefer patients stay in town for 1-2 weeks after surgery provided that everything is healing well.  But each surgeon is different. Best to ask your surgeon.
