About 3 weeks ago I began to feel extreme stiffness/tightness in my back and sides. I'm 6 weeks post op of a BBL. What can I do to relieve this pain? Its so uncomfortable. I had my procedure done in Miami but I love in DC. The doctor's office told me to "send pics". How can I send pics of stiffness/soreness SMH. What can I do to relieve this pain. I've been getting about 2 massages a week, to no avail. Please give me some suggestions. I'm concerned about fluid build up but how can I be sure if I have it?

Thank you for your question. In general, after lipo much of the swelling will decrease in the first 6-12 weeks.  Hard areas are normal after lipo and time will resolve. Lymphatic massages will help the hard swollen areas.   Final results take 6 months.  Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.  If your surgeon is not available, then consult with a local plastic surgeon for an examination.   Best wishes.

If the surgeon you traveled to see was a board certified plastic surgeon and a member of the American society of plastic surgeons he should refer you to someone on your area who can see you. But if the surgeon you went to was not. And you chose him or her only on the basis of cost, get on a plane and go to Miami. Just as it isn't likely that photos will help the surgeon tell you much, an online question will not give you the answer you need or help you. Nothing beats being there, good luck.

First, this is a problem with having surgery far away from where you live. You probably are best served to see someone locally to make sure everything is ok.  Likely it is related to swelling.

Probably just some post op swelling. Don't take in a lot of salt, as this may cause fluid retention.
