We've had sex a couple times (since my surgery) before last night, but it was very, very basic and not involving my breasts at all. However, as of last night, I allowed my husband to very gently squeeze my breasts with no more pressure than I use during my regular massages. I was on my back and my husband's body pressed up against my chest (didn't use his actually body weight, just sort of allowed his chest to feel my breasts). Today, my boobs are a bit sore mostly in my pectorals.

Answer: My husband and I had sex last night on my 17th post-op day after breast augmentation. Do you think everything is okay? Thank you for your question! Based on what you have described, I do not believe that any harm was done to your implants. You will notice that as you go back to your normal daily activities you will be a little sore. I usually recommend that my patients wait two weeks before being sexually active. With that being said, each doctor has different post-operative protocols so if you have any further questions I recommend reaching out to your plastic surgeon or scheduling a follow-up to make sure everything is okay. Best of luck.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear TheBreastAround, based on your description, you should be fine. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
