I am a very flat chested 32A and 1 week pre-op. I have chosen to go with 500cc saline implants. My doctor said that it’s no problem and I don’t need to worry about stretch marks or rippling but after doing online research it looks like this might be too much? I am 5’5 and 118lbs and have a very narrow body. I’ve added pictures so you can make better judgement.

Answer: What size implants If you are very thin you can do a larger implant but you will have a more artificial breast appearance in most cases and a higher risk of earlier drooping of the breast. If you have tried on different sizes in your doctor’s office and this is what you liked the best then it may be worth the trade offs. However, I would be more concerned about the risk of visible ripples with saline implants in a very thin person with little native breast tissue. If you really want to do a larger size you will likely have a better outcome with a silicone implant. Best of luck on your journey, Dr. Amspacher Director of Plastic Surgery Mosaic Life Care
