Neck lift or thread lift? What do you think is my best option?

Hello!Just wanted some opinions on what you think may be my best option- I’ve had two consults with local doctors who told me opposite things- I had a consult for Ultherapy and was told it would not be beneficial in my case because of the excess skin. . Then another doctor recommended Morpheus8-but I had an allergic reaction and had to discontinue. So now I’m thinking thread lift or neck lift- thread lift mainly because I don’t have transport home

Thank you for your question and photo. You are likely a candidate for a lower rhytidectomy, also known as a neck lift. This procedure targets the neck and throat directly by removing submental fat and tightening the skin. The deeper tissues along the jawline are also tightened to create a smooth and defined contour with long-lasting results.

I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to review your treatment history, discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you, and help you decide on the best approach.

An important consideration in your decision is the degree of change that you wish to achieve as a result of the treatment. Thread lift will produce some improvement but it will be more discreet as there is a combination of some laxity and volume excess. A neck lift procedure is likely to produce more significant change since it can address laxity, volume excess and platysma bands.

Of course the neck lift intervention also involves more visible scars in order to allow for skin tightening.

I suggest that you discuss your concerns also with her surgeon that can offer the neck lift intervention so you can compare the advice that you have received from various specialists.

Based omn this photo and short of in person evaluation, it appears that your best options to achieve desired result would be anterior neck lift. Any other options will not address the problem of low  hyoid bone and fullnes (deep, subplatysmal fat) of the neck. Hi dear irishkeddy! 
I would like to my opinion on what I think will be your best option. To be honest Ultherapy, Morpheus8 or all thread lift methods can't provide you the result as you desired. Contrary to what is claimed, these are procedures with a maximum duration of 2 months, and more importantly, they are also not treatments that will benefit you. All issues you mentioned can be addressed to a well-executed a neck lift operation in the right hands. This procedure includes removal of fat, excess skin, and connective tissues under skin and tightening the skin. It will not change your apperance, you will only have younger, tighter and elegant jawlines like before sagging.  Your jawline will only re-gained definition with this process. Regards

More information is needed, such as your age and a full set of facial photographs from all angles. From the limited photograph, you do have fat deposits in the neck located both above and below your platysma muscle. A surgical neck lift is required to remove both compartments of fat. There's no skin removal with a neck lift. If you're have inelastic skin in the neck, then you're going to need a lower face and neck lift procedure which involves tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck and muscles, removal of both compartments fat in the neck which also includes a platysma plastic to significantly improve your jaw line. Thread lifts Will be ineffective
