This looks to be expected for 5 months. I usually tell my patients that they can expect to see some hair by 5 months, with some substantial growth by 9 months- at that time you should be 80% of the way there. Otherwise, to get the full result, it really takes about a year. Best of luck! Things are looking great so far!
It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results. If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.
Regarding your question it looks normal and as expected. Your transplanted grafts started producing hairs and they can be slowly seen after the 3rd month. The hair growth can be different from person to person and this is why we always advise our patients to wait for 10-12 month to see the final result.

Regrowing hair is thin, undersized and not bright untill 4-5 th months of hair transplant. İt's normal for new growing hair starting to get native characteristics, waviness, curl in first 4-5 months..This actually takes 10-13 months for hair to become full mature , as thick and bright as native hair.
Yes, this is very consistent with 5 months growth. Hair goes through a hibernating stage. From now till 12 months they just keep on growing. From 12 months to 15 months they just become thicker. There is one thing that you can do to increase the rate of hair growth. You can start taking whey protein concentrate. There is a special whey protein called "Help Hair". You can start taking one scoop in morning and one multivitamin at night. This will increase the rate of hair growth faster.
At 5 months you are roughly at 40% growth. Here is a rough timeline: Early growth has just started at the 3 month mark. At 6 months you will be at only about 50% growth, at 12 months you will be at roughly 90% growth. Remain patient and continue to follow your doctors post op care instructions.

4000 grafts may make your donor area look very thin especially if you keep your hair short. There is no way to work around the fact 4000 FUE as it is taking 4000 grafts from the donor area.
