Hi. I've received quotes for 4000 grafts from 3 clinics. I was wondering if it's worth having 2 procedures of 2000 or so, each. I'm rather concerned about having a thin donor area. I've looked at the donor photos on here and some of them look alarmingly thin, although they do seem to improve What do you think? Thanks,

Answer: 2 procedures of 2000 or 1 of 4000 Two procedures of 2000 generally has better survival than 1 of 4000 and gives you the option to reevaluate your donor area after the first procedure. 4000 grafts is a long day, and graft survival is undoubtedly lower.

Answer: Hair transplant in stages Many patients do their hair restoration in stages. If budget is not a concern, I encourage them to do the high end of the recommendation as although its not a tough procedure you may likely have better options to spend a day. In addition, your then pushing your total result out longer as it takes a year for the full result.
