Can a tummy tuck without lipo address my underboob roll? (photo)

Hello. Thank you for the question and photos. Yes, I think a tummy tuck with liposuction of the upper abdomen will improve the overall contour of your abdomen and address your concerns. I typically use SafeLipo in combination with a progressive tension tummy tuck  for the best results in my practice. This will improve the abdominal contour, tighten the skin and muscle, without the need for a drainage tube. You should seek out a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in body contouring for the best results. Good luck.

Thank you for your question & photos!  Based on your photos, you would be a great candidate for lipo 360 and tummy tuck.  Liposuction will remove excess fat with some retraction of skin.  A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of muscle.  The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss.  By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well.  The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves.  Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. Thanks for your inquiry, a traditional tummy tuck will not improve the fat and skin over the ribs.  You could have a staged liposuction, coolsculpt or other strategies in the future to address that area. 

A tummy tuck will improve the upper abdomen but combining with liposuction to that area at the same time will enhance the results.

Hi.  I think a tummy tuck would be expected to give you a very nice improvement of the abdominal contour.  It would likely get some benefit to the area underneath the breast that you mention.  You could always do some liposuction after you have healed from the tummy tuck if you wanted some further improvement.  For a small area like that you could even potentially do that under local anesthesia.  All of that obviously would be determined between you and your plastic surgeon.  I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience with body contouring.  Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. A lot of surgeons including myself won’t do liposuction if the tummy at the same time as a tummy tuck, even though it has actually been shown to be safe. You can get the standard full tummy tuck and later have the roll suctioned under local anesthesia if you like.

Hello and thank you for your  question and sharing your photos. I believe you are and excellent candidate for tummy tuck. Tummy tuck is  almost always performed in conjunction with liposuction of the flanks and a conservative liposuction of the upper abdomen (including areas of  your concern). During tummy tuck, extra skin in the lower half of your
abdomen including the stretch marks will be removed. In addition, typically the
fascial laxity/separation of recti muscles will be taken care of by muscle
plication, giving you a flat abdomen. The added liposuction of your
hips/flanks will help with creating a natural and aesthetic waistline. Incision
can be placed very low to be hidden under bikini. With proper surgical
technique, belly button can be designed to  be a true 'innie'.
Recovery from tummy tuck is 1-2 weeks. Strenuous activity and lifting heavy
weights should be avoided 6 weeks to 3 months post op. I would seek
consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and
