I have HS, but it's pretty mild. I'm scheduled in June to fly to Miami for lipo 360 & BBL. I'm wondering if they will cancel on me because of my HS. I don't want to give them $4k and fly out there to be turned away. I rarely have flare ups and when I do, it's mostly under my arms. Is there anything I can do to ensure that I won't get turned away??
Answer: BBL Hi, Are you referring to hidradenitis suppurativa? If so, were you examined by the surgeon who is doing the BBL or is this a quick flight in and out? Patients should not minimize the huge red flags when you have a procedure planned without an exam and discussion by the operating surgeon. A BBL is one of the most dangerous procedures being performed in plastic surgery and to trust your well being to someone: you may not have even met; you may not meet until the morning of surgery; you will not see again; will not be there for you in the postoperative period; has no ethical problem accepting patients knowing they will never see them again after they leave the operating room; pricing below market rates for qualified, ethical, experienced surgeons, all equal red flags! My office routinely sees patients who have had complications after receiving services in Miami or the Dominican Republic who have been sent back to their home state with drains and sutures still in place that all need to be removed in the near future and obviously not by the doctor who put them in. Place your health and well being in the hands of a local, talented surgeon who will be there for you if you need them!

Answer: Can I get a Brazilian butt lift with HS? (Photo) Try to seek treatment for the HS first and make sure it is under control. Then have the liposuction and BBL. Ask this question of your board certified plastic surgeon in Miami to ensure you will not encounter a problem in having the surgery or recouping your deposit.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear dollface_420, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, every chronic condition should be under control and in some cases a clearance is needed. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: HS and BBL Before you fly to get a procedure from a (hopefully board certified) plastic surgeon, you should have a thorough virtual visit. I would be upfront about all of your medical history, medications, etc. at this time so you, and the surgeon, do not have any surprises when you arrive for your surgery. If they are not requiring any pre-operative virtual (or in-person) visit prior to the day of your surgery, then I would be prudent moving forward. Hope this helps!
