Answer: Sleeping on your side Sleeping on your side this far out from surgery should not affect the permanent results. It may, however, cause temporary increased swelling on one side or another based on sleeping position.

Answer: Sleeping position should not change the result of your rhinoplasty. Dear acinomas in California, CA : The important thing to remember is that at 3 weeks after a soft surface is not likely to move any of the parts that may have been relocated, particularly vulnerable of course, are the reset nasal bones. When the bump is removed and the sides deeply narrowing. By 3 weeks they are not fully fused. They will be in another 3-4 weeks after that. Don’t worry about sleeping. The only concern should be whether or not there is a prospect of a direct injury to the nose, such as in playing contact sports or even having somebody’s luggage fall out of an overhead bin onto your nose while you are packing inside an airplane. It has happened. Best wishes, Robert Kotler, MD, FACS
