If it does not work, consider BOTOX treatment. Eventually you will be a good candidate for a lower eyelid chemical peel. For quite sometime, I do not think you will need much more than a little BOTOX and possibility a bit of filler.
The answer is several fold:1. botulinum toxin (Botox, Xeomin) is the best way to treat the lines associated with movement (squinting, smiling, etc). Temporary but works great.2. Proper hydration and skin care - the eyelid skin is quite thin and responds well to medical grade skin care regimens. There are many but don't have to be expensive or complicated - good cleanser, good moisturizer. long term retinoid.3. Laser resurfacing can achieve a quick change in texture which is long term as long as you do 1 and 2 above.Lots of options!DrH
Because you are only 29, it is unlikely that surgery is needed. If your wrinkles around the eyes are there when you smile but not when your face is relaxed, then Botox would be the solution. It is important to find a board certified and experienced Plastic Surgeon when doing Botox around the eyes. Best of luck.
As an eyelid or oculoplastic specialist, this is a very common issue in my practice. There are 2 parts to these lines. 1. The quality, resiliency, and elasticity of the skin2. The action of the muscles that brings out the wrinklesI recommend treatment that addresses both issues. As kin care regimen specifically designed for the delicate skin around the eyes is vital. Next, a subtle botox injection treatment to soften the contraction of the muscles that bring out the lines without taking away your normal function or expression.
Thank you for your question and photos. At your age the smile lines are a bit premature. You should begin a medical grade skin care regimen to protect and rejuvenate your skin which is showing early signs of aging. Botox would be the next best step to relax the muscles around the eyes that cause wrinkles. The next step would be either a radiofrequency treatment like ThermiRF or laser resurfacing to improve skin texture and wrinkles. Best wishes.
Swelling and bruising can continue for several weeks after eyelid surgery. You should keep your head elevated while resting to reduce swelling. Also, you can start wearing makeup in order to cover any bruising. If you are still concerned after a couple of weeks, consult with your physician.
Eyelid asymmetry is not uncommon. It can be due to brow position, more eyelid skin on one side, structure of the bones around the eyeball or even problems with the primary muscle that elevates the upper eyelid. Corrective surgery can be done while preserving your monolids. A thorough examination...
Healing is a continuum, and swelling continues to settle over several weeks. If the procedure was recent, your concerns may improve with time. If you do not notice improvement, consult with your surgeon as injections may be an option to help with persistent inflammation."This answer...
