Thank you for your question. The point is really what you would like to achieve with the skin booster injections before a deep plane facelift. If this is about promoting healing, it may be more valuable to have a couple of sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy before your treatment and three or four sessions after your treatment. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has a fairly direct impact on the defences against infection and promotes the restoration of collagen in the wound areas.Additionally, good nutrition and general vitamin supplements are also important parts of preparation for the surgery. If you are referring to the improvement of skin texture using skin boosters prior to the deep plane facelift, it probably does not matter whether you do it before or after your treatment. However, this is best discussed with an aesthetic medicine specialist who can provide specific recommendations based on your individual needs and goals.
Hi Amy, I don't typically recommend injecting any hyaluronic acid fillers for 4-6 months prior to a facelift. Part of the reason is that I often perform facial fat grafting when I do a deep plane facelift and I use nano fat to rejuvenate the skin. However, every surgeon utilizes different techniques and you should discuss this with your surgeon and what they recommend you do in the months leading up to the facelift. Best of luck!
I don't know what a skin booster is. I would recommend not injecting anything into the face or neck prior to surgery. I would recommend seeing a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ideally with 6 years of integrated plastic surgery residency training and ALSO a 1 year aesthetic fellowship accredited by the Aesthetic Society).
I would not change anything to the daily routine that you are already doing to keep your skin looking good prior to your facelift surgery. Good skin care is a daily commitment but adding "boosters" will not improve the outcome of your facelift and in fact, depending on what is done to your skin, because there is no single "booster", you may create issues that your surgeon would rather not have to deal with.
You can ask your surgeon but I can assure you that so called skin boosters will be an absolute waste of money. But check with your surgeon
Skin boosters will not have any affect with the results of your facelift. Best not to cause any scar tissue in the interim. It's important to understand that facelift procedures involve tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, removing fat deposits in the neck above and below the platysma muscle, lifting the jowls, and also performing a platysma plasty to significantly improve your jawline. Skin boosters will have no effect
Yes, unfortunately those with thinner skin are at a slightly higher risk of having skin issues after a facelift, Fortunately, the area you show has healed beautifully considering its starting point. Another option to address that scar bad would be to excise it and perform a Z-plasty.
Thank you for your question. It sounds like the procedure that was carried out for you was a short scar deep plane facelift. This intervention has its place in the armamentarium of cosmetic interventions for facial rejuvenation. What you seem to be describing for the neck may represent residual...
Your lower lids appear to have too much fat. Was fat injected there! Your lower lids can be improved by a number of techniques to remove the fat and support your lower lid. Unfortunately you’re going to have to go in multiple second consults to find somebody who knows how to correct it
