I had CoolSculpting on my outer thighs two months and on the 5th day, I had severe burning and itching that latest thru day 14th. I recently had 4 Advantage applicators placed on my abs and in order to get ahead of the nerve pain (and since Neurontin can take days to be effective), is there anything wrong with starting this medication today to help mitigate "day 5" issues?

Answer: Coolsculpting side effect Neurontin does help with post coolsculpting nerve pain . A small percentage of patients will experience an intermittent burning sensation . This can be accompanied with cramping if the coolsculpting was performed on the abdomen . It usually occurred after treatment with the original large applicators on the upper abdomen . With the newer cool advantage applicators this is less of an issue in those patients who are sensitive to this side effect .
