No CoolSculpting does not cause a kidney infection.&nbsp; If you suspect a kidney infection, make sure to follow up with your regular physician.

Can you develop a kidney infection from CoolSculpting of your flanks?

Hello!&nbsp; Halo is wonderful for the face neck and chest.&nbsp; We often use it to treat pigmentation, such as melasma, freckles and sun damage.&nbsp;&nbsp;You should see a board certified dermatologist for your treatment if you are prone to or concerned about hyperpigmentation, as they are the experts in managing these conditions.&nbsp; You may be able to know if you are prone to hyperpigmentation.&nbsp; For example, we often ask our patients if you have a scratch or injury to your&nbsp;on your skin, does it leave a mark that lasts for months?&nbsp;&nbsp;

Halo laser on neck and chest. Can this cause hyperpigmentation?

If it is the raised nature of the spot that bothers you, then a shave removal by an experienced dermatologist or plastic surgeon would work nicely for this area.&nbsp; An excision (cutting out and putting stitches in)&nbsp;can sometimes leave a more noticeable scar on the nose.

I want to remove a mole on my nose, need help. What's the best way to do so?

Great question.&nbsp; Currently the device is only approved to treat underarms.&nbsp; We hope eventually there will be applications for hands.&nbsp;&nbsp;Many of our patients do well with off-label use of glycopyrrolate or oxybutynin as well as botox injections in the palms (results last about 6 months).

Is it possible to get miraDry on the hands?

An in person consultation&nbsp;is very beneficial to discuss options.&nbsp;&nbsp;Based on your photograph, you are a good candidate for filler and it is possible to perform subtle enhancement of the lips without looking overdone.&nbsp;&nbsp;We commonly see patients who want a natural, not&nbsp;obvious, enhancement of the lips.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is important to see an expert injector for best results.

Filler tends to be the best treatment for this area.&nbsp; Fillers, such as Restylane Refyne/Defyne and Juvederm Vollure,&nbsp;can be&nbsp;directly injected into the nasolabial folds to soften them.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sometimes the folds are due to loss of cheek volume, in which case we inject filler into the upper/lateral cheek area with fillers like Restylane Lyft or Voluma.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is best to schedule a consultation with an experienced injector such as a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to see what your needs are.&nbsp; Prevent wrinkles with good skin care, such as sunscreen, antioxidants and retinol, and avoiding smoking and tanning beds.

What is the best treatment for nasolabial folds?

Losing the weight after your Sculptra treatment should not affect the results of Sculptra, the collagen will still develop.&nbsp;&nbsp;Weight loss can reduce the natural volume/fat in the face and&nbsp;&nbsp;Sculptra is often used&nbsp;to correct for that.&nbsp;&nbsp;You may find you need additional treatment with Sculptra depending on your goals.&nbsp; &nbsp;I takes about 6 weeks to see the full effects of Sculptra and that is is a good time to follow up with your provider to assess what you may need.

I got 2 Sculptra sessions - after first session I lost five pounds and second maybe 2lbs, will it still work?

It takes two weeks for any botulinum toxin (Xeomin, Dysport, Botox)&nbsp;to have full effect (diminished movement).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Fillers sometimes it can take two weeks for things to settle into place.&nbsp;&nbsp;If this is your first time having the treatment, its best to schedule a follow up visit 2 weeks after your treatment&nbsp;with the provider who did your treatment to assess your response.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Forehead Wrinkles with Xeomin and Restylane

Its probably too early to tell still, but it is a good idea to&nbsp;schedule a follow up with your physician a couple of months post treatment if you are not sure.&nbsp;&nbsp;At our office, we &nbsp;do before and after photos because that can be helpful in viewing the results or lack of results.&nbsp; We&nbsp;typically recommend 2-3 treatments for best results with this technology and often combine it with other procedures, such as neurotoxins.&nbsp;
