Can you use another type of filler after getting Volbella for lips?

Great question annemh016. Yes, you can absolutely use another filler. Vobella is typically used in the upper lip lines and gives a gentle inflation to the upper lip lines and or upper lip. Using something like Juvederm Ultra or Restylane will give more structure and fullness to the lip itself. Thanks for the question and best of luck.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  For patients in your age I would recommend continued use of a hyaluronic acid dermal filler and my go to is Vollure from Allergan or Restylane Defyne.  Both lead to limited swelling and faster softening of your lips after treatment.  Hope this helps.

Yes you can combine different fillers to achieve necessary results.  Always seek treatment from a qualified physician.

Volbella is an excellent filler in the lips, but it can lead to only very subtle results.  If you want more, I would suggest that you stick with a hyaluronic acid filler.  Juvederm, Vollure, or Restylane Defyne will all give you the same natural look, but will provide more volume than Volbella does.

Thank you for your question. Typically patient's in their 20s desire more plump lips. Volbella is an excellent filler for subtle volumization and lip line treatment. I would recommended classic Juvederm Ultra for the lips in someone that wants fuller lips. You can definitely add this to the volbella. It will not last as long but will likely give you the result your looking for. 

Thank you for sharing your question.  There is no limitations to additional hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero) to your lips.  In my practice, I often use a combination of HA fillers to achieve a customized result based on a patient’s goal. I suggest avoiding PLLA (Sculptra), PMMA (Bellafill, Artefill), Calcium Hydroxyapatite (Radiesse), and Silicone in and around the lips as these will lead to problems such as nodules / granulomas in the future.  Please see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has significant experience with nonsurgical cosmetic procedures as there are many nuances and intricacies that allow the ideal results. Best of Luck,Suneel Chilukuri, M.D.Houston, Texas
