You don’t mention how long ago you received Volbella to fill in your tear troughs. If it was just a couple of weeks ago, you may still be swollen and are not yet seeing your results. If it’s been longer than that and you are still looking overfilled, the duration of Volbella depends in part on how much was used. A rough estimate is that it will likely last between 9-12 months. Your dermatologist should offer you hyaluronidase for free to correct a poor result. It is a safe and effective treatment option. You should still be left with sufficient Volbella to correct the hollow tear troughs, but won’t have the overfilled look that upsets you. Please call your board-certified dermatologist to have your tear troughs corrected.
IF your tear troughs are overfilled with volbella it may take up to 2 years for them to somewhat go down to normal. I would strongly recommend going to get some hylauronidase injected, it can be injected so not all the product that was injected it dissolved. make sure that two weeks has past following injection ans there is not evidence of bruising to have them dissolved.
Unfortunately Volbella lasts for about a year, if you are unhappy with the results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase injections but I would wait at least two weeks post injection before reversing it. How long doesVolbella last in tear troughs?
Thank you for sharing your question. Volbella will last between 12-18 months in the undereye region, so if you feel over-filled you may want to strongly consider hyaluronidase for faster correction. Be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to discuss.
Volbella may last about a year in this area. Keep in mind, a combination approach will give improvement under the eyes. I recommend fillers with lasers and microneedling/prp to get the best results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I love Volbella in the tear troughs- it lasts about one year. If it is overfilled- see your physician & let them reverse it- just make sure the swelling has had a chance to go down. I typically wait a month. It can be dissolved partially- so you won't lose it all.
Thank you for your question. When injected in and around the lips, Volbella typically lasts approximately 12 months. Generally speaking, most hyaluronic acid fillers tend to last a little longer than advertised under the eyes and in the tear troughs. That said, like any other hyaluronic acid filler, Volbella can be dissolved using hyaluronidase. I would recommend that you follow-up with your injector, or with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns. I hope this helps!
Volbella in an excellent filler and lasts "up to one year." However, it may last longer in certain facial locations where there isn't much movement - such as the tear troughs.
Yes, Volbella is a wonderful filler for the vermillion border and fine "lipstick/smoker's lines". It is also a great filler for minimal lip augmentation. It is perfect for a first time lip augmentation patient. It is considered a "glosser". Which means it gives a slight increase in lip volu...
I find Volbella to be a nice choice of filler for perioral lines, it does need to be injected accurately and superficially. If you are not happy you should review the result with your injector using before and after photos. Another potential option in your case could be a little...
The lips and surrounding tissue tend to be very reactive. I always tell my patients to expect swelling (with whatever filler I use) for about three days after the injections. While Volbella usually causes less swelling than some of the other fillers, some patients still do have significant s...
