I'm a post sleeve gastrectomy patient (18 months post op) maintaining my weight around 142 give it take 3 lbs. I was overweight most of my life and lost 91 lbs post sleeve. My legs have lost laxity and smoothness. How realistic is it to just get a inner thigh lift? Would I get smooth lifted results?
Answer: Thigh lift Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a good candidate for a medial thigh lift with liposuction. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: WEIGHT LOSS THIGH LAXITY/DEFORMITIES You are very typical of our weight loss patients and there are several techniques that will help you. The most aggressive of course, is surgery. A classic "medial" thigh lift would be of greatest benefit, as opposed to a "groin" type thigh lift which only deals with the upper third of the thigh, at most. This would be the gold standard for your particular issue. There are also some "non surgical" techniques that are now available that can create skin shrinkage up to 35%, 2-3 times as much as any prior technique or device. The procedure is called "BodyTite" and is only available in a few locations in the US, but I believe will be much more prevalent in the future. We recently bought and trained on the procedure and the results we've seen have been remarkable. You would need to visit a board certified plastic surgeon who has a broad experience in these techniques.

Answer: Thigh lift Thanks for your question and congratulations on your weight loss! From looking at your photos it appears that you would be an excellent candidate for a thigh lift. This procedure removes excess skin from the inner aspect of the thigh and hides the resulting scar in the groin crease. This would result in smoothing out the contour of your inner thigh. Take care and all the best.

Answer: Medial Thigh Lift Based on the pictures posted, if you will accept a scar in the groin and a scar from the groin to the knees then it is possible to have significant improvement of the thighs.
