Dr. MacArthur and his entire team are beyond amazing, professional, and attentive. The office and OR are pristine, clean, and make the surgery day a breeze. Dr. MacArthur makes you look like a better version of yourself with the best nose you can get for your anatomy. He’s realistic with his patients and unmatched in his talent. I have no scar, my nose looks perfect, and at barely two month post op I’m already thrilled with the result. I am so glad I picked a local Ottawa surgeon for the job. Many surgeons in Toronto or Montreal are quoting beyond double, and for work that is trendy-looking versus natural. Look further if you want your nose done! I should have done this decades ago. I would have another surgery with Dr. MacArthur in a heartbeat. Some fears I had before going in that I read are common with this surgery but did NOT happen at all with Dr. MacArthur: a noticeable scar (my scar was undetectable by week two and is very well hidden), the tip being swollen and bulbous for months (as soon as I woke up I could tell the tip was smaller and it never got bulbous), having black eyes and bruising that would make it impossible to go out (I had some bruising under the eyes around day 3-4 but I was shocked that it re-absorbed by day 6-7), pain and discomfort (I had no nose packing and I did not require strong pain killers beyond Tylenol and Advil).

I’ve been to doctors who rush …walk and talk. Treating you as if you’re in an assembly line. Dr MacArthur is so sweet. Sits to speak to you in a calm and reassuring way. Explains everything so clearly and step by step. His work is excellent. My breasts are back!

Dr. MacArthur did my lower body lift surgery. One week post procedure and the results are impressive. My buttocks and hips are symmetrical, lifted and smooth. The incision scar is long but thin and well placed. First couple of days, the pain was minimal, now it's better described as discomfort. Last year, I had liposuction on my flanks and lower back but my buttocks and hips remained thick and misshaped. In my case, I beleive this was due to aging and not weightoss. A decade ago, I had a tummy tuck and I was hoping to acheive a similar tightening and smoothing of my back side with a lower body lift. If you are contemptlating this type of surgery, know that as a lone procedure, not combined with abdominoplasty or a thigh lift, the recovery is fairly easy. All around, the whole experience has been positive. Dr. MacArthur is a very skilled surgeon. No regrets!

I began doing CrossFit a few years ago after having kids, but after gaining a lot of weight during three pregnancies - and having 3 c-sections - my abs (and skin on top of them) wasn't going to ever "bounce back". I decided to shop around and found Dr. MacArthur. At the consultation I realized very quickly that he is a really nice, mild mannered, guy and that no question was "dumb" or silly. After my surgery, I could see and feel results within about a month. I also had zero complications! After about 3 months (at his suggestion), I was able to get back into workouts at about 3/4 capacity (which is pretty awesome for CrossFit) and felt my abs were stronger. I'm really glad to say that I have a flatter stomach AND the gap in my abs (from the c-sections) was sewn together so that I now have strong abs again. Truly, I feel a major difference in my core strength post surgery. "Ab"-solutely the best decision I've made for my confidence! Dr. MacArthur is fabulous!

Phenomenal patient care! I had Fleur-de-lis Abdominoplasty & monsplasty on May 23rd with Dr. Ian MacArthur. I was able to book my surgery shortly after my consultation and didn't have to wait 4 to 6 months like other places. Dr. MacArthur and his staff take the time to answer questions and explain making sure you are fully informed and prepared for surgery. He is incredibly kind and takes the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. On the day of surgery I didn't have any concerns whatsoever,i was excited and able to enjoy the experience. Staff was absolutely kind and patient and took care of everything before and after. I was able to walk immediately after surgery and recovery has been a breeze. Danielle is fantastic with communication and explained the points system and I already have enough points for other services such as lip injections and botox in the next couple week's. I'm so happy I followed my instincts and booked my surgery with Dr. MacArthur. Oh and my results.. incredible! Absolutely stunning. Wow, where to start. For years my tummy protruded like I was 6 months pregnant and for years I just assumed I was overweight and out of shape. Finally went to see Dr McArthur and he diagnosed me with diastis recti (my stomach muscles had separated during my pregnancy with my twins). Due to COVID I had to wait six months for my surgery - and I waffled about doing it given how significant it is - but it was without question the best money I ever spent. The recovery wasn’t terrible and Dr McArthur called me to follow up and the team of nurses and staff were always happy to answer my calls when I had questions. I literally walked out with a flat stomach and as the swelling has subsided and the incision has healed my stomach looks even better. Clothes fit me properly, and I love my new and improved figure! I honestly can’t believe the difference and wish I had done this years ago. Thank you Dr McArthur and team, you were wonderful!!!!

I am 3 months post op of my breast augmentation where I got silicone implants, 200cc one side and 225cc on the other. I am extremely happy with the results. I wanted my implants to look as natural as possible while still adding volume to the size of my breasts. Dr MacArthur was very informative and easy to communicate with regarding my wishes to how I wanted the results to look. He chose the perfect size implants that are proportioned to my frame and body. The recovery went very well with minimal pain and I am thrilled with the results. The entire staff at Kanata Plastic were so friendly and would answer any questions I had when I called. I would definitely recommend Dr. MacArthur!
