I want to have Facetite for a crepey neck, but worry I have to take too much time off work. How long do I have to wear the compression garment?

We usually have patients wear the compression garment for 48-72 hours after the procedure. We do an in Office check up at 24 hours and change the dressing. After 3 days the garment is only worn at home and overnight for the first week. After 1 week there should be no limitations or wound care required. Most patients are back to work by 4-5 days.

The length of how long a compression garment has to be wore after a facetite depends on the surgeon that preformed the procedure. Most surgeons recommend  to wear it all the time for 48 hours and then for 12 hours per day ( evening and night) for additional 5 days. Other surgeons recommends the patients to wear it all day for 5 days in a row.

I typically have patients wear a tighter wrap for the first night and then an elastic type headband at night time for several weeks as tolerated. This helps accelerate the results, which will keep improving for 6-12 months.
