Additionally, Dr. Imola is highly skilled in facial implants, bone repositioning, facial trauma, skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision, and craniofacial surgery. I came to Mario Imola with my face and life shattered after a local surgeon performed facial liposuction, leaving me with little facial fat, irregularities, depressions, scar tissue, and loss of sensation. Additionally, my submental area was fat-stripped with cannula gouges, creating a "cobra" defect. I felt ruined, both physically and emotionally, ashamed of my attempt to enhance my appearance, which led to becoming a victim of botched surgery. The waking nightmare, the shame, the fear and loss was almost too much to bear. I became isolated and life was a dark burden. I had one unsuccessful fat grafting surgery, before Dr. Imola, which only made things worse. Mario Imola took on the challenge of repairing my face with a staged fat grafting approach. I have completed two stages with him and have more to go due to the extent of my defatting. He meticulously reconstructed my facial fat, restoring curves, reducing scar tissue discomfort, and reintroducing tissue beneath the skin. His work in rebuilding and repairing the damage has been beautiful and masterful. He also restored my neck and submentum with fat. He has treated me with dignity and compassion, and his expertise has given me the opportunity to once again enjoy life. Success in fat grafting is highly surgeon dependent. It is not straightforward and requires extensive experience to achieve good results. Reconstruction, especially in cases like mine, is even more challenging. Taking in someone who another plastic surgeon botched is not something that many plastic surgeons are up for or have the skill to repair. My face will never be quite the same and I will bear the scars both externally and internally the rest of my life, but I have been given a chance by Dr. Imola to have hope and a future again. Lisa, his office manager, has been exceptional. She has been an incredible support both professionally; timely and helpful with her knowledge, and always with a kind word of support in the right moment. Thank you, Dr. Imola, for restoring my face, and giving me a chance at living again. No review, no words I can say will ever truly express how thankful I am.
I came to Dr. Imola after having two septoplasty surgeries, both of which ended up causing scar tissue and issues with my breathing. Dr.Imola performed a revision rhinoplasty and gave me a beautiful and fully functioning nose. All the staff here is amazing, and I felt very comfortable from the first moment I called and scheduled a consultation. Lisa is fantastic and will hold your hand through the whole process as well! Thank you, Dr. Imola! I only wish I had found you sooner! As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
I underwent an upper blepharoplasty and forehead lift with Dr. Imola. From the initial consultation, to surgery, and aftercare, I am very happy with the entire process. I felt that all my questions were thoroughly answered and the entire surgical process was well explained to me. I am very happy with the outcome of my surgery as well. Also a shoutout to Lisa Adams, patient coordination - she was wonderful.
I went to eleven different plastic surgeons and received eleven different consultations. All of them denied me. They felt my case was too difficult and they didn't want to get involved. But, Dr. Imola took my case. The day after my consultation I went home crying just filled with raw emotion, relief, and hope. The staff more specifically Imola himself, Lisa, Lauren, and Ashley became like my second family! They walked me through the entire procedure and the healing process. They even called me after my procedure to make sure I was doing okay the day after. Even though my procedure was extensive the pain was more minimal than I thought it was going to be. The incisions are practically invisible and this is barely the third month. Dr. Imola and his staff are sincere and caring people and in addition to this, they are experts in their field of work. Just have a look at my before and after photos. As you can see before I had depression in my forehead, leaving my forehead especially susceptible to injury and an uneven brow bone. Now I no longer have depression in my forehead. As well as now I have a symmetrical and even brow bone. Since my procedure, I can finally feel confident and comfortable in my skin. I no longer have people asking or staring at my forehead wondering what happened to me. This experience was truly life-changing, it restored my confidence, and ensured the protection of my skull. I definitely recommend visiting this office for any of your cosmetic needs. Trust me you will be in great hands! Updated on 10 Nov 2023: I love my results it has been nearly 2 years post-operation! No issues with my titanium mesh plate. Hope everyone finds my photos helpful and beneficial in some way. Wether it is repairing skull damage, lowering their forehead, implanting a titanium mesh plate, or trying to achieve a more feminine appearance. Dr. Imola can help! :)
I am 9 months post op from a 5th revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Imola and I couldn’t be happier. He honestly gave me my life back and I am forever grateful. I had a combined 4 previous surgeries with two different doctors. The first 3 were minor tipplasties and the 4th was a major one that went really wrong. I was left with a wide/flat and droopy looking nose that I couldn’t breath out of and the cartilage was so deformed that I kept getting infections. Living with this mistake consumed my life and made me miss out on so many great moments. Rhinoplasty is the most complicated cosmetic procedure, especially revisions, and while I knew it’d be a huge risk, I just wanted my life back. I did hours of research trying to find someone to help, and after consulting with 6 doctors all over the country, I decided on Dr. Imola. I met with him multiple times because I was so nervous but he was so accommodating and understanding. He was a lot different than other doctors in that I feel like he under promises but over-delivers. I did not expect a perfect nose and was just looking for some improvement but he gave me more than I could have ever hoped for. The surgery was long but he takes the time to get things right. He used my own rib graft and fascia to rebuild and resupport my nose. Not only can I breathe better than before but it also looks amazing. My family and friends cannot believe what a good job he did considering what he had to work with. Everyone at the office is amazing as well. Lisa was always more than accommodating to all my questions and would always check up on me. While I wish I really understood the risks before I had any surgery so I made better choices the first time around, I am truly grateful to Dr. Imola for the work he did. He doesn’t really advertise and isn’t a fan of social media (which I think speaks a lot to his good character) but he is very talented and skilled at what he does.
Dr. Imola is truly a professional and very much a master at his craft. I had a nose that was broken in two separate places on the outside, as well as multiple places on the inside of the nose from when I was a child. I had a hard time breathing from one of my nostrils and suffered from regular bloody noses. Needless to say, I wanted a specialist who knew what they were doing to correct this injury. From the first consultation, Dr. Imola was very straightforward about what was realistic in terms of results. He did not sugarcoat anything, which I valued a lot with this kind of procedure. He also did an excellent job of outlining what recovery was going to look like, along with what I needed to do to ensure the best possible results. The entire staff worked well to ensure that every step leading up to the operation was taken care of, especially when it came to insurance. Dr. Imola really does care about his patients. After the operation, Dr. Imola has regularly scheduled me to come and see him for follow-up appointments to see how I have been progressing. To say that I am satisfied with my nose would be an understatement. I have gained a new-level of confidence in my appearance that I long lacked, and most importantly I feel like I can properly breathe and not have to worry about reoccurring bloody noses. One hundred out of hundred times I would pick Dr. Imola as my surgeon over any other doctor.
I broke my nose when I was a kid. So long ago I barely remember the accident. Dr. Mario Imola corrected a 20 year old injury. I wish I would have had this done sooner. I was nervous about surgery but honestly I had no pain at all. Recovery was a breeze. I took a whole week off of work by the 3rd day I was already bored and didn't feel like I couldn't do my desk job at home. The follow up by his team was great. I never felt like I couldn't get answers if I needed them. Now let's talk price. Dr. Imola is expensive my surgery was 10K. He specializes in facial reconstructive surgery and he is worth every penny. If you don't need any facial surgery, I do still recommend him for injections. I'm 34 years old and I have a sweet, innocent, wrinkleless face.
I truly do not know where to begin with this review because there are so many wonderful things to say about Dr. Imola and his staff. Before I came to see Dr. Imola I had already had 2 surgeries to correct my facial asymmetry by another surgeon. I was not satisfied with the results and had some complications during and after recovery. I was in desperate pursuit of finding another surgeon to help correct and essentially just acknowledge my concerns. But I was continuously turned down. I visited a handful of plastic and maxillofacial surgeons and never felt welcomed. I started to become frustrated and felt hopeless. But I was determined to continue my search and that’s when I found Dr. Imola. He first appealed to me because he had amazing reviews and he specialized in all things face and neck related. I took the leap and made my consultation appointment and I am so glad I did. I was very anxious to see Dr. Imola at first because I did not know what to expect. But the consultation went very well. I felt heard by Dr. Imola and relieved that I was finally given a diagnosis (Hemifacial Microsomia). He was patient with all of my questions and concerns and took his time in explaining each and every surgical option. After my consultation, I felt as if a huge weight had been lifted. I had been consumed by this journey for a long time. But I finally found a surgeon I trusted and felt comfortable with. Leading up to my surgery date Dr. Imola’s coordinator Lisa would periodically check up on me and was very helpful during the whole process! Lisa is genuinely sympathetic and devotes herself to caring for their patients in every aspect. Everything went smoothly because of her. My surgery was broken up into two days. On day one, I had a fat transfer to my cheeks and FaceTite to sculpt my jaw. On day two I had a primary rhinoplasty done. And OH MY GOODNESS I am so in love with my results. Dr. Imola exceeding my expectations and did so with no complications! He is so methodical and executed everything beautifully. He is amazing at what he does. He also eliminated the chronic discomfort I was left with from the previous procedures. I am now almost 1-year post-op. I am so incredibly happy that I found Dr. Imola, he gave me my life back. I no longer am consumed by insecurities and to anyone like me, I recommend visiting Colorado Facial Plastic Surgery Center. You will not regret it.
Dr. Imola performed a rhinoplasty and septoplasty on me last September. I’m very happy with both how it looks and the improvement of my breathing. I had been contemplating doing this for 22 years when I finally pulled the trigger. I’m thankful for the empathy care and professionalism of the entire office staff.
I had a crooked, dented, upturned, overly scooped, unnatural looking nose from my first rhinoplasty with another Doctor. Dr. Imola and Dr. Kay were able able to fix my issues and give me a normal, STraight, nose that fits my face. I don’t feel self conscious anymore and I’m so happy I went through with the revision. I met with Dr. Imola 3 times over 2yrs before I decided to go through with it and I honestly wish I just would’ve went through with it sooner. Updated on 23 Jan 2021: First pic is the before and then the after at 3months. I am really swollen still but I’m really happy with the shape and how my dented side looks now. Dr imola said he could get my nose about 50% straighter but I think he got it 100% straight. I love how natural and normal I look now. I forgot to mention that I had a retracted columella and dr imola was able to bring that down and it looks so much better too. My lip and nose distance were so long before and it really bothered me but now I think it looks proportionate. He had to use my rib, fat from my stomache and fascia from my head for the surgery and it took 8hrs but it was because I pretty much had a hole filled with goretex on the dented side and it had to be completely removed in layers and then built back up. Updated on 27 May 2021: Just wanted to update with some pics. I still deal with swelling but this past month has been a lot less but still fluctuates. I knew revisionswelling was going to be hard to deal with but geez I’m ready for it to end! I’m still happy with my results. I asked for no scoop to my nose because I hated it so much from my primary and wanted more of my original nose look back Updated on 27 May 2021: I hated this scooped upturned nose, I asked for no upturn and no scooped sloped nose in my primary consultation and also in my revision. Dr imola was able to give me more of my old look back but still a better version of my old nose
Based on your photographs you are likely to be a candidate who would benefit from FaceTite. Visit a clinician experienced with FaceTite for an in-person evaluation. Stay away from Thermage as it provides virtually no benefit. Based on RealSelf FaceTite has a 95% 'worth-it' rating, Thermage? 41%. Mario J. Imola MD, DDS, FRCSC, FACS.
Mid to lower face fullness and excessive width is determined by several factors:
Focal FaceTite could be a possible treatment option for the fullness under your chin. Scarring does not preclude the use of the FaceTite device and is often used to 'touch up' small focal areas of fullness following other rejuvenation procedures. Consult with an experienced FaceTite clinician.Mario J. Imola, MD, DDS, FRCSC. FACS.
Relative to invasive procedures, swelling after Facetite is generally mild and occasionally moderate in severity. If your goal is to reduce the swelling to negligible asap, I would recommend extending the period of time the compression garment is worn and continue to cool the treated site. Oral steroids can help with the edema as well and a tapering short course is well tolerated without complications in the majority of patients. Mario J. Imola, MD, DDS, FRCSC, FACS.
Our office recommends wearing a compression wrap as much as possible for the first week. A minimum of continuous round-the-clock for the first 72 hrs and then 12 to 16 hrs daily for the remainder of the first week.Mario J. Imola, MD, DDS, FRCSC, FACS.
