For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
FaceTite could not be used on the upper eyelids. The device is not designed to treat the thin and delicate skin of the eyelids. It can be used to tighten the lower face and neck, where the skin is thicker. Fractora can be used on the forehead, which can lead to some lifting of the brows and upper eyelids.
Thank you for your question. FaceTite is a new procedure that utilizes radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis to simultaneously dissolve fat and tighten the skin. FaceTite can be used on the face and neck to contour the jowls, double chin, areas with deep lines and loose skin, stubborn pockets of at. I wouldn’t recommend doing FaceTite on your upper eye lids. Please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
FaceTite is primarily used for the lower face and neck. It can be used in the midface to help tighten this area as well. I would not recommend it for the upper eyelids. The skin is very thin and the risk of causing a burn is higher. There are great surgical and nonsurgical options(laser resurfacing) that you can consider to tighten and remove excess skin. Hope this helps.
There are much better options for the upper eyelids. FaceTite combined with miniliposuction is best for the mid and lower face. The thicker tissues allow more delivery of the radiofrequency wavelength energy to treat multiple levels.
Dear Lowell,FaceTite can be used in the upper eyelids, and several surgeons not only offer it but advertise it. I think of it as a "fringe" application of the technology for a few reasons. Most importantly, you want to protect the eye. When FaceTite is used properly, internal temperatures exceed 130 degrees. This heat lingers, causing intentional injury to deep tissues being treated. The injured tissue leads to collagen remodeling, leads to shrink wrapping as it contracts. Seems like a long and dangerous run for a short slide to me. FaceTite is exceptional for the lower face, and even the midface, where surgical alternatives leave fairly visible scars. Blepharoplasty is a straightforward operation with a quick recovery, and in my opinion, for this application, the benefits of "scarless" surgery most certainly do not outweigh the risks. Fortunately, blepharoplasty can also be performed awake, and takes about as much time.I hope this helps,
Hi and thanks for the question. It is indeed possible to perform FaceTite on parts of the upper eyelid. It requires an experienced surgeon to perform this, given the thinness of tissue in this region with associated inherent risks. In my practice, I find FaceTite has greater efficacy in the lower face and submental areas, producing remarkable results. In regards to the eyelids, there are simply better non-surgical alternatives for upper eyelid rejuvenation than the FaceTite. I would be more than happy to discuss those options with you in a formal consultation. Best,Doctor Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question. FaceTite cannot be used on your upper eyelids. A good alternative would be J-Plasma. This can be used on the entire face including the upper and lower eyelids and will give you a greater degree of skin tightening while dramatically reducing wrinkles and imprinted lines. This procedure will also remove sun damage, precancerous skin lesions, and other pigment irregularities. Expect about two weeks of downtime with J-Plasma as this is a total resurfacing procedure. Since it is not a laser, it is safe for use around the eyes in the hands of an experienced physician.
