Dear Lowell, FaceTite can be used in the upper eyelids, and several surgeons not only offer it but advertise it. I think of it as a "fringe" application of the technology for a few reasons. Most importantly, you want to protect the eye. When FaceTite is used properly, internal temperatures exceed 130 degrees. This heat lingers, causing intentional injury to deep tissues being treated. The injured tissue leads to collagen remodeling, leads to shrink wrapping as it contracts. Seems like a long and dangerous run for a short slide to me. FaceTite is exceptional for the lower face, and even the midface, where surgical alternatives leave fairly visible scars. Blepharoplasty is a straightforward operation with a quick recovery, and in my opinion, for this application, the benefits of "scarless" surgery most certainly do not outweigh the risks. Fortunately, blepharoplasty can also be performed awake, and takes about as much time. I hope this helps,
