Thank you for your question, you can absolutely take Celebrex after Kybella. The only real "down time" with Kybella treatments is the social aspect of it due to swelling. I will however say that my patients who get a lot of swelling, often times get the best results. Good luck!#kybella #swelling #celebrex
I recommend following up with your Doctor about when you can restart taking your medication. It may help decrease any discomfort you feel from your kybella procedure. Keep in mind, Kybella results can take up to 6-8 weeks and usually require a series of treatments. For best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question! At my practice in stony brook NY , I have my patients continue back on anti inflammatory 24 hrs after their procedure. i would follow up with your doctor to ensure what they are recommending.
You can start the NSAID after 24 hours from the time of your injection. This will probably not help with the swelling, but it might! Congratulations and good luck,Dr. ALDO
You can stop taking anti inflammatory medications 2 weeks prior to Kybella procedure and you can continue taking your medications 48 hours after the procedure. Anti inflammatory medications should not have any negative effect on your Kybella results. Medications are stopped before the procedure to reduce the chance of bruising due to increased skin sentitivity. I hope you love your Kybella results. Good luck!
Thank you foryour question anon20000. Kybella isthe first and thus-far only FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment forthe double chin. There is an inflammatory process that occurs after a Kybella treatment. Anti-inflammatory medications may decrease the swelling. At the same time the inflammatory reaction is thought to be responsible for the stimulation of collagen in the overlying skin which leads to tightening. This would be a good question for your surgeon or rheumatologist. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Speak with your surgeon as everyone has a different protocol, but you should be able to begin taking your medication again 24-48 hours after your Kybella treatment. Best of luck.

You can begin taking it after your Kybella injections. Reducing or discontinuing anti-inflammatories or aspirin prior to a procedure is to limit bleeding in the area of the procedure.
We routinely advise our Kybella patients to take anti-inflammatories starting one day after their procedure. It should help your chin and your knees!
There is no research how Kybella affects pregnancy or if it affects pregnancy at all. We all avoid performing injections during pregnancy because of liability if something goes wrong and there is nothing to prove if it is correlated or not. There should be no harm to your baby or pregnancy ...
Thank you for your question. Kybella is deoxycholic acid, which is a natural acid made in our liver and stored in our gallbladder. It gets released into stomach after we eat a fatty meal to help us break down the fat. Kybella is simply the same product purified and then stored in vials to be...
This is a totally normal and expected occurrence after Kybella and it means that it's working. I'm sorry your provider didn't inform you about it. The bullfrog swelling can last for about 5 days and sometimes unto 2 weeks. It's all a sign that it's working. Good luck...
