Can I just get a breast lift done or would I need implants? (photos)

Question

I am a 30 year old women with a 4 and 8 year old. I breastfed both children. I’m 5’2 and 118 pounds. I am satisfied with the size of my breasts, so I’m wanting to get a breast lift. However, I’m wondering if I would absolutely need an implant since my breasts are saggy. I’m trying to avoid an implant if possible. Thank you!

Thank you for your pictures. As long as you are happy with the current size of your breasts, I believe you will be pleased with the breast uplift surgery alone. During this surgery, your surgeon will be raising and reshaping your breasts. After the operation, you will have firmer and fuller breasts which will be a major improvement for you. This surgery will not change the size of your breasts.

Hello @mneg, thank you for your question and showing you pictures. It all depend on expectations. Your breast has the perfect shape to perform a breast pexy (lift) and a reconfiguration of the tissue, to lift it and give it a good shape. It would have a very favorable esthetic result because you have good mammary gland. This would give a very good shape without the need to insert prosthesis. Hi, thank you for sharing your question. If you are happy with the size of your breasts, you don’t need implants. A breast lift will be sufficient and will give you a beautiful result.

I think you’ll need breast implants with breast lift surgery. Regarding your photos we can say you don’t have upper pole fullness and you don’t have enough tissue to to get better shape and perky breasts.

From the photos that you shared, it appears that you would be a great candidate for a breast lift. Keep in mind that your breast will become a little smaller in size after having a lift from the excess skin being removed. I recommend asking your surgeon for realistic expectations on size and upper pole fullness after having a breast lift.

I recommend that you have an in person consultation with two or more board certified plastic surgeons in your area to be sure.

If you are happy with your current size and only want to make your breasts perkier, then a lift is all you’ll most likely need. No implants are necessary.

The lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

Hello! My best opinion would be to consider a breast lift and adding fat transfer to the breasts to give you fuller more even breasts, the lift will help with the volume loss in the breasts from breastfeeding. Breast implants can be an option, although my advice is to think about your overall expectation of what you want in the end for your breasts.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Hi mneg! You can definitely get a breast lift without implants if you are happy with the overall size. A small breast implant would help with adding some fullness to the upper portion of the breast after it is lifte but not necessary if you are happy with your current breast size. Good luck!
