Breast lift or reduction: What am I a good candidate for?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. The decision to choose between the two options will depend on your goal. If you want smaller breasts or have back pain from heavy breasts then a reduction is better. If you want lifted, youthful breasts but want to keep your size, a mastopexy is better.

Yes, you are excellent candidate for breast lift/reduction surgery. it is your decision how much smaller you want to be; you should expect about 12 cup size loss with lift only. If you want more, small reduction should be considered; same scar, just smaller size. Think to know is; smaller breast, longer lasting result. my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for your question. The best option in order to achieve an augmented luck, lifting your breasts, without an implant is to perform an auto augmentation mastopexy. This is a procedure that uses your own breast tissue to create more upper pole fullness, while re-sculpting the breast. Or any procedure that is working on the breast, especially lifting the breast, can affect the ability to breast-feed in the future. Good luck.

helloı checked your photographs, for you mastopexy will be effective and satisfying with reverse T scar. but if you well rounded view better to plan mastopexy implant.

You are certainly a candidate for a lift or a reduction. You have excess skin relative to your breast tissue. With a lift, the skin envelope will be reduced and wrapped around your remaining breast tissue. In doing so, it will compress the remaining breast tissue and you will be slightly smaller. Mesh could be added to help provide a longer lasting result. A reduction could also be done, simply removing some breast tissue as well.

Thank you for your question and photos. If you are happy with your size, a breast lift would be worth looking into. Really, the difference in a lift vs a reduction is the amount of tissue removed. The incision pattern is the same. You will be able to have some upper pole fullness with a lift. Consult with an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss all your options. You won't regret it.
