Is a one hour car ride too long after a BBL?

Question

I'm planning on staying in a hotel for 2-3 days after my Brazilian Butt Lift, then I hope to have my husband drive me home. It is an hour drive. Is that too long? If not, what is the best way to sit for the ride? Thank you!! :)

Thank you for your question. While every Doctor has an opinion about sitting or not after BBL, in my experience I've found it doesn't have an impact on final results. I do advise not sitting for a long period of time and using a pillow for comfort. You could take breaks during your trip and try different positions.

in general this is a question your plastic surgeon should explain to you. The recommendation should be: the first at least two weeks you lay flat in the prone position (on your belly) on the rear seats. in order to full-fill local regulation, maybe you need to somehow use a seatbelt in this position and I would recommend to try this prior to the surgery

You should wait at least 2 weeks before sitting without a support cushion and sleeping on your back. Sitting with no support too soon can harm the newly moved fat cells.

You can use a special BBL pillow to reduce the pressure on your buttocks or lay on your stomach on the back seat. Consult your surgeon for post op recommendations.
