While evidence suggests there is a benefit to silicone-based treatments for improvement of scars, adding medipore tape over silicone gel/sheet may not be any more beneficial that use of silicone gel twice daily or silicone taping alone, and may actually cause irritation. Thank you for your question. At the outset it is important to realize that an operated breast will likely never look like a natural breast. In general, breasts are not perfectly symmetrical, and these asymmetries may be accentuated or appear to be more pronounced after surgery, particularly if not recognized pre-operatively. Also, the goal of breast reconstruction, which is a process involving a series of operations, is to achieve good symmetry in clothing. While the results can be revised to try and achieve better symmetry understand that perfect symmetry is often not attainable. Best wishes!

Poor scarring of the umbilical scar after a tummy tuck is a known potential complication. It is not entirely clear based on the photos provided whether or not this is a hypertrophic scar (within the borders of the original wound) or a keloid (outside the borders of the original wound). In these instances, steroid injections, and revisions with or without radiation therapy may be indicated.

Final results of a breast reduction are usually not evident until after 6 months, for which reason revisions are usually delayed until 6-12 months after the original surgery. The shape may change dramatically in the first weeks and months.  In as far as size is concerned, understand that cup sizes can vary depending on the brassiere manufacturer. In breast surgery, it is therefore, not possible to guarantee a specific size.  It is advisable to be patient and give yourself time to heal and get used to the new you.  Best wishes!

In as far as the lip is concerned, it is difficult to appreciate from the photo what you are referring to. However, an area of induration after trauma could signify a bruise that may take longer to resolve than the discoloration. If it has not resolved by now with massaging, I would return to your injector and have him/her evaluate you. Best wishes!

As a surgeon who performs this operation, I can tell you that it is not an easy procedure and that it is often very difficult to remove all the glandular tissue. Indeed, we will often try a less involved procedure in an attempt to deliver comparable results and satisfy patient requests, but not without first explaining that a more involved procedure may be necessary. When deciding to get a breast reduction an important consideration is self image. If you feel disproportionate and this is impacting your self confidence then considering a breast reduction is a good idea. While weight gain can cause your  breasts to enlarge so will hormonal changes, such as during pregnancy/lactation. With this in mind, it is not uncommon to have more than one breast reduction. The decision to get a breast reduction is a very individual choice, considering that in many cases this may be completely elective. 

Thank you for your question. While being older may mean you are more likely to have more medical problems it is not in itself a contraindication to breast augmentation with implants. Whether or not a patient is a good candidate for breast augmentation is a determination made on a number of factors, including medical and social history. In patients in which a lift is recommended, the risk profile is similar to that of augmentation -- infection, bleeding, etc. In these instances, the recommendation is made as the final result with the addition of a lift is thought to be superior. If you have reservations about the recommendations it may be advisable to seek a second opinion and proceed with surgery with the physician that you feel you can trust the most. Best wishes!
