Question

My biggest insecurities are my frontal view, my wide nasal bones and bulbous tip. Im deciding between two procedures: 1. rib rhinoplasty - augment bridge and tip (& possible osteotomy) or 2. osteotomy, alar and tiplasty (using ear cartilage). I've been told that my bridge is a pretty adequate height for an asian nose, so I'm wondering if I were to opt for the 2nd procedure if that would provide harmonious results? I also feel that my current nose caused my mouth to protrude.

1. Osteotomies to narrow the nose
2. Alarplasty
3. Tipplasty without any grafting.

Hello yes if you want to have a Rhinoplasty surgery you can have it, but you will need to use cartilage from your rib or from your ear.

Thank you for your question. Synthetic implant is not necessary in your case. I would advise osteotomy to correct wide nasal bone, and tip plasty to correct bulbous tip and project the tip. There may be some dispute about nasal bridge augmentation, but I think that much better results can be expected if it is naturally increased by 1.5-2 mm using costal (rib) cartilage. In addition to correcting the bulbous tip through tip plasty, it is necessary for best results to consider correcting the retracted alar rim. The decision for alar base reduction requires in-person examination.
