What’s the best technique for Asian Rhinoplasty DCF, DCGG or Diced Cartilage Injections?

Hi, I’m Asian female wanted to do Rhinoplasty for bridge augmentation & wanted a refined tip because I have bulbous thick skin. Are the best method that are less risk of reasoption beside DCF? Also heard about new technique called DCGG using fibrin glue and Diced Cartilage Injection without glue. Is it safe? And is it long lasting? Is there’s any chance of migration? Thank you

Hello, hope you are well. All of these techniques are categorized as augmentation rhinoplasty with rib graft. Overall, DCF (diced cartilage - fascia) and DCGG (diced cartilage glue graft) are comparable and share similar results in experienced hands. They offer advantages over implants (e.g. Medpor) which are more likely to become chronically infected or extrude through the skin. I am not familiar with 'diced cartilage injection', but there are many variations on augmentation rhinoplasty (you may even encounter some surgeons who have 'invented' a supposedly superior technique). My suggestion is to find a surgeon who performs augmentation rhinoplasty with rib routinely (either cadaveric 'donor' or autologous 'patient's own') and has good results, and focus less on the exact method because there is no 'best'. The best technique is what works for your surgeon and produces reliable, safe results.

DCF (Diced cartilage fascia) provides permanent results without the risk of warping or resorption of en bloc rib cartilage, and with a much lower rate of migration, infection, or extrusion than synthetic grafts. With a rhinoplasty surgeon experienced in this technique, diced cartilage wrapped in fascia is a consistent, reliable, long-lasting technique for creating dorsal augmentation with excellent results. Results are very surgeon dependent, so choosing the right surgeon is important.
